This blanket square is an easy pattern using the afghan st.

Level: medium

Tools Required:
4mm crochet hook
4ply baby yarn

Instructions:
Using 4mm hook chain 30
working rows 1 and 2 of afghan st (below) pattern , work 30 rows
ending with a 2nd row
Work 1 row of sc across.
Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

AFGHAN ST PATTERN:
Row 1 : - insert hook into st, yarn over hook and pull yarn back through
making a st, leave st on hook and repeat across work leaving all sts on
hook just worked.
Row 2 :- yarn over hook and pull through first 2 sts make a st, repeat
this across all the sts working 2 sts at a time until you have 1 st left on the hook.
Start working row 1 again.

Make these squares in pastels colours to make a beautiful preemie blanket.
You will need 16 squares total to make a preemie size blanket.
