WWF IN YOUR HOUSE 2

"BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY!"

April 19th - Greensboro, North Carolina

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are your announcers.

Ross - Welcome everyone to Greensboro, North Carolina! We are live here at the Greensboro Coliseum, for WWF In Your House, "Bright Lights, Big City"! Over the next three hours, we're gonna be bringing you nine all star matches in what promises to be one of the greatest nights in WWF history! Four titles will be on the line in this ring before, including the big four way match for the world heavyweight title!

Lawler - And that's not all JR! First of all, The King is back in the broadcast booth here tonight, and this truly is an event fit for a king! I'm looking forward to seeing the supercruiserweight Brian Christopher kick Rey Mysterio's behind all around this arena. And how about that big six man tag? Chris Benoit, Owen Hart and Dustin Runnels against The Nation, wow!

Ross - It's gonna be quite an evening, and we're gonna kick things off with the World Wrestling Federation champion, Jeff Jarrett!

Jeff Jarrett struts his way to ringside, WWF title around his waist.

JJ - Now before we get to any of the unimportant matches here tonight, I felt you fans needed to see me come out to get this show off on the right note. Also, if the World Wrestling Federation wants to add any more stipulations to this match, wants to back Jeff Jarrett into any more of a corner, then I want to hear about it now.

(Pause)

JJ - Oh come on, surely you want me to wrestle with my hands behind my back? Surely you want to put the rest of D-Generation X in the main event as well? This main event is a fucking conspiracy as it is, and I've got a good mind to walk out of this arena, belt in hand, right now. But I know that everyone here in Greensboro, and everybody watching at home on pay per view, paid to see one thing. Me. They paid their money to see Jeff Jarrett take on three of the WWF's *best*, and walk away triumphant. Well you're gonna get what you paid to see, I *guarantee* it!

Jarrett leaves the ring to the boos of the crowd.

Ross - Folks, I apologize for some of the language Jeff Jarrett used in that interview. We're live here, and it's hard to control that type of thing. Notwithstanding that, I think we're about ready for our first contest, unless you've got anything to add King?

King - Well I just wanna say that Jeff Jarrett is completely right. It *is* a conspiracy against him, and I can't see him walking outta Carolina with the gold still around his waist. Oh, and this battle royal we're about to have? Ridiculous. You and I both know that Brian Christopher can...

Ross - Okay, that's enough. Let's go to ringside!

Finkel - Welcome everybody to In Your House! This opening contest is a special eight man battle royal, with the winner becoming the number one contender to the WWF Cruiserweight Championship! And now introducing the combatants. Jim Powers, Devon Storm, Scott Taylor, Psychosis, Silver King, Damien. Hector Garza, Juventud Guerra.

Eight Man Cruiserweight Battle Royal

Devon Storms return to the WWF doesn't go as planned, as during an altercation with Jim Powers, Powers sends him over the top rope in the first minute. Powers then goes after Silver King, and takes him down with a kneelift. He attempts to throw him out of the ring but King holds on. King and Powers continue their battle with each other, and King nails Powers with a superkick at one point. Meanwhile, Damien nails Taylor with a clothesline sending him out, and taking the total number of wrestlers down to six. As Damien berates Taylor on the outside, Hector Garza attacks him from behind with a clothesline. Damien hangs onto the ropes and is saved from elimination.

As Damien gets back in, he blocks a right hand from Garza and nails one of his own. He hits Garza with a DDT, and is on the verge of putting Garza out, when Jim Powers comes up from behind and throws Damien out! Powers is starting to get a good reaction from the crowd. On the other side of the ring, Hector Garza is now battling away with Juventud Guerra. Guerra hits Garza with a spinning headscissors and then sends Garza out! We're down to Guerra, Powers, Silver King and Psychosis at this point. The four men pair off and Guerra goes to work on Silver King. Guerra takes him down with a hurracanrana, but his attempt at elimination is thwarted as Psychosis attacks him from behind. Silver King then goes after Psychosis, but the former cruiserweight champion backbody drops him out. And then there were three...

And then there were two. Immediately after sending Silver King out, Psychosis dropkicks Jim Powers over the top, to the disapointment of the crowd. We're down to Psychosis and Guerra as the last two men. Guerra slaps Psychosis in the face and then sends him to the mat with a dropkick. Psychosis jumps up to his feet and hits Guerra with a dropkick of his own, before attempting a frankensteiner. Guerra however, blocks it, and nails him with a Tiger Driver! Psychosis is out cold, and Juventud easily throws him out over the top!

Rating = *.75

Ross - That's a great way to start the show, and at some point in the near future Juventud Guerra will receive a title shot against either Brian Christopher or Rey Mysterio Jr! That match is still to come here tonight!

King - Now come on Ross, you mean to tell me you think Juvencrude has any chance against Brian Christopher?

Ross - I never said anything to that effect, I merely said...

King - Now I know what you were implying JR, and I don't like it. But I'll put it to one side right now, 'cos in a few moments, we're gonna see The Quebecers kick the flying snot out of those Headbangers!

Ross - It may turn out that way. If you remember, this all started the night after Wrestlemania, after The Quebecers made their WWF debut. Let's go back to March 30th.

(Clips of the Headbangers/Quebecers altercation from March 30th Raw are shown)

(The finish to the Thrasher/Oulette match from April 2nd is shown)

Ross - And last night in Fargo, North Dakota, The Headbangers and Chris Chetti defeated The Quebecers and The Barbarian in a six man tag team match. Tonight though, is gonna decide this thing once and for all. Let's return to the ring!

Finkel - The following tag team match is scheduled for one fall, with a twenty minute time limit. Introducing first, from Montreal Quebec, weighing in at a combined weight of five hundred and twenty five pounds, Jacques Rougeau, Pierre Oulette, The Quebecers!

Finkel - And their opponents, at a total weight of four hundred and eighty eight pounds, Mosh and Thrasher, The Headbangers!

The Headbangers vs The Quebecers

Mosh and Oulette start the match, and Mosh straight away nails Oulette with a DDT. Mosh doesn't follow it up with a cover though, as he throws Pierre to the outside. Mosh executes a kneelift on Oulette, and that's all the action that takes place outside, as Pierre rolls back into the ring. Mosh goes for a second DDT, but this time Oulette blocks it, takes Mosh down with a clothesline, and then sends *him* to the outside. Pierre hits a swank running somersault plancha on the Headbanger, and then sends the dazed Mosh into the guardrail. He goes to whip him into it again, but Mosh reverses and sends Pierre crashing into the railing. He sends Pierre into the ringpost, and pretty soon all four men are brawling around the ring area. The match soon returns to the ring though, with Mosh and Pierre still the legal men.

Mosh takes Oulette to the mat with a back suplex, before hitting a powerbomb on the Quebecer. He covers for a two count, and then gorilla presses Pierre into the Quebecer corner. Rougeau makes the tag, and it'll be interesting to see his performance after his tough match against Adam Bomb last night. Roueagu and Mosh lock up, and Jacques wins the test of strength easily, shoving Mosh into his corner of the ring. Thrasher tags in for *his* first action of the match. As Thrasher enters the ring, Rougeau tags back out to Pierre. Thrasher comes off the ropes at Oulette, but Pierre takes him down with a brainbuster. He then makes the quick tag back to Jacques, and they send Thrasher into the ropes. They aim for a double elbowsmash but Thrasher moves, sending both Quebecers down with a double clothesline on the way back.

Pierre leaves the ring, and Thrasher bounces off the ropes at Jacques again. Rougeau manages to catch him with a roundhouse right however, and then traps him in an abdominal stretch. Rougeau keeps the hold on for a good forty five seconds, several times using the ropes for leverage. Thrasher eventually gets to the ropes, but he can't regain the advantage. Roueagu hits him with a reverse neck breaker for a two count. He goes for a hotshot, but Thrasher manages to counter it with a lariat. Both men fall down to the mat, and the race for the hot tag is on. Thrasher makes it to Mosh first, and Rougeau isn't able to make the tag at all as Mosh grabs him from behind. He hits a German suplex on Rougeau for two, and then climbs the turnbuckles, eventually nailing Jacques with a flying dropkick. Mosh nails him with a succession of clotheslines when Rougeau gets to his feet, but as he climbs back up top, Pierre gets into position and pushes him off to the concrete floor.

Rougeau goes through the ropes to the outside and piledrives Mosh on the concrete. Rougeau then returns straight to the ring, obviously confident of a countout win. Mosh however, returns to the ring on the count of nine, which angers Rougeau who complains to the referee about a slow count. As he argues, Mosh has the presence of mind to roll him up from behind, though it only gets two. Jacques jumps up to his feet and lays into Mosh with a series of right hands to the back. Rouegeau puts Mosh in a chinlock, tying him down for a good minute or so. Mosh eventually powers up to his feet, and then, after a series of elbows to Jacques' chest, nails him with a lariat. Mosh makes the hot tag to Thrasher as Rougeau tags in Oulette. Thrasher gets Pierre reeling with a barrage of right hands before sending him to the mat with a dropkick. Rougeau re-enters the ring to make it two on one, but he eats dropkick as well. Mosh is a house afire as he unloads on both Quebecers. He sends Rougeau to the outside with a clothesline, and then goes up to the top turnbuckle. Top Rope Legdrop, one, two, three, it's all over!

Ross - A great win for The Headbangers there. That of course means that they will receive a WWF tag team title shot tomorrow night on Raw. Who will they face? We don't know yet, but The RoadWarriors against The New Midnight Express will take place later tonight.

King - Well I can't believe that The Headbangers won this one. I thought the Quebecers were due! I'll tell you Ross, if they win the tag titles tomorrow night, then I'll quit the WWF for good!

Ross - Are you willing to put that in writing?

King - You bet I'm willing! We can't have these two idiots parading around in the tag team titles! They deserve to be around the waists of two respectful individuals like Bart Gunn and Bob Holly.

Ross - Oh please. We've got tag team action scheduled up next, but there's still doubt hanging over this contest. We're scheduled to have The New Age Outlaws take on The Headhunters, but it is still unknown whether Jesse Jammes will be fit to wrestle. If you recall, he badly injured his knee this past week on Thunder, in a match against The Headhunters, and had to be carried out of the ringarea. We're gonna go backstage and speak to Billy Gunn at this time. Billy, do you have any word on what's gonna happen?

Gunn - Yes I do JR. Jesse Jammes can't wrestle tonight. His knee is completely (beep)ed, and he told me on Friday night that he would be spending the weekend in hospital. He ain't gonna be here tonight. But that's okay. I'm gonna take on both the Headhunters two on one, and I'll come out on top whether I got a partner or not.

Ross - Well, I question the judgement there of Billy Gunn. You don't want to get into a handicap match with The Headhunters. They'll manhandle you and destroy you if you're not prepared properly. Regardless, the match is taking place, and let's go to Howard Finkel.

Finkel - The following tag team match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, at a combined weight of eight hundred and forty pounds, The Headhunters!

Finkel - And their opponents, weighing in at ****, The Roadog Jesse Jammes, Badass Billy Gunn, The New Age Outlaws!

Despite Finkel's introductions, Billy Gunn comes out alone.

Ross - Wait, hold on. As was said on our weekend programming, we've been unable to speak to Sycho Sid about tonight's match, but he's standing by backstage right now!

Sid - Yes, I am here! If there's anyone worthy enough to speak to me, then I'll speak to them. Noone hear at the WWF has anything near the credentials to speak to the master! Tonight! Jeff Jarrett, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Shawn Michaels, tonight is gonna be your last night, I'm gonna destroy all three of you, and then I'm gonna wear the title belt for all eternity! And no-one is ever gonna stop me!

Billy Gunn vs The Headhunters (Handicap Match)

Headhunter #1 starts out this match for his team, and he immediately sends Gunn through the ropes to the outside. On the outside, Gunn goes for a faceslam, but the 'Hunter blocks it, and nails Gunn with a forearm smash. Gunn is rolled back into the ring, and #1 gives him a hard headbutt. After sending Gunn to the outside again, Headhunter #1 hits a beautiful running somersault plancha on Mr Ass. He gets to his feet and bodyslams Gunn on the concrete floor. Gunn holds his back in agony, but has no time to recover as #1 tosses him back into the ring once again.

Headhunter #1 somehow manages to trip up on the ropes as he enters the ring, and Billy Gunn uses it to his advantage and nails him with a DDT. Gunn can't capitalise and cover though as he falls to the mat as well. When Gunn does get to his feet, he is faced with Headhunter #2, who just tagged in. He hits #2 with a boot to the chest, before attempting to whip him into the ropes. #2 reverses though, and then takes Gunn down with a clothesline. Gunn rolls to the outside for a breather, and #2 goes for a running somersault plancha of his own. Gunn sees it coming this time though and easily moves out of the way, watching as Headhunter #2 collides with the concrete. Gunn lays in a couple of stomps and then climbs back into the ring.

He waits patiently for Headhunter #2 to get back into the ring, and then gets him reeling with a dropkick. Another dropkick sends him staggering further, before a third sends him to the outside. Gunn follows him out and slams the Headhunter's head into the railing. He slams it again before attempting to dropkick #2 on the outside. #2 sidesteps it though, and Gunn hits the floor again. #2 rolls him back into the ring again, and lays him out after hitting a belly to belly suplex. Headhunter #2 then climbs the turnbuckles, and hits the moonsault for the three count.

The Headhunters defeated Billy Gunn with the moonsault in 4-05

After the Headhunters depart the ring area, Brian "Crush" Adams comes to ringside. Billy Gunn is still laid out in the middle of the ring.

Crush - Look at you, you're pathetic! You want to ignore me when I challenge you? You ain't got a choice now punk.

Crush brutalises Gunn, getting a chair from ringside during the beating and beating Gunn senseless with it. Adams is eventually seperated from Gunn by officials, but Gunn is in a bad way.

Ross - I said before the match even started, you don't want to get yourself in that kind of situation, not against the Headhunters.

King - I thought that was great JR. There's little things I like more, than seeing some whining little punk getting his butt kicked. And adding in Crush at the end, that was great!

Ross - Well it's a bad situation for D-Generation X at this point. Jesse Jammes is already out injured, and unless it's not as bad as it seems right now, it looks like Billy Gunn may be out for a while too. The other two members of DX, well, it's gonna be interesting as they face each other in some respects, later on tonight in the big four way match. You gotta think they'll work as a team to start but what if it comes to down to just Michaels and Helmsley? Like I said, it's gonna be interesting.

King - Well I don't think it's gonna matter. I'm betting Sid'll toss those guys out of the ring within seconds. I'm predicting him to win the title tonight Ross.

Ross - He's many peoples favourite. But up next, we've got the first of four title matches as Adam Bomb defends the European title against Yuji Nagata. It could've been The Rock challenging for the belt tonight, let's take you back to this past week on Raw.

(Clips and the finish to Rock/Nagata from April 13th are shown)

Ross - Let's return to the ring!

Finkel - The following contest is scheduled for one fall, with a sixty minute time limit, and is for the World Wrestling Federation European Championship! Introducing first the challenger, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing two hundred and thirty one pounds, Yuji Nagata!

Finkel - And his opponent, from Three Mile Island, weighing exactly three hundred pounds, he is the World Wrestling Federation European Champion, Adam Bomb!

(European Championship)

Adam Bomb vs Yuji Nagata

The two men lock up, and then Bomb starts off with a backbreaker on the challenger. Picking Yuji up, Bomb goes to whip him into the ropes but Nagata reverses it. Nagata nails Bomb with a boot to the midsection, and then takes him down with a snap suplex. Nagata sustains control of the match as he takes the champion down again with an enzirguri once Bomb gets to his feet. A savate kick is next from Nagata, before he goes to apply the dreaded Nagata lock. Fortunately for Bomb, he manages to block it, but Nagata then takes him down again, this time with a clothesline. He whips Bomb into the turnbuckle, and then charges in shoulder first. The crowd is strangely quiet at this point, this wasn't what they were expecting to see.

Bomb starts to get a little offence in after Nagata misses a dropkick. Bomb hits one of his own, but then is blocked whilst attempting a bodyslam and Nagata takes control again. A snap suplex and another savate kick give Yuji his first two count of the match, before he once again goes for the Nagata Lock. Just as before, Bomb manages to block it, but can't carry that over into any kind of advantage, as Yuji continues his domination of the match so far. Nagata takes him down with a single leg takedown, before locking on an armbar submission hold. Bomb crawls over to the ropes after being in the hold for thirty seconds, and Yuji then nails him with a boot to the face.

Nagata goes for a suplex, but Bomb is able to stick a foot out to block, and then hits one of his own. Bomb quickly gets to his feet and tries to get some momentum going. He hits a side suplex on Nagata, following it up with an elbowdrop. He goes for another, but Nagata rolls out of the way. Nagata gets to *his* feet and stomps on Bomb a few times, then hits him with a savate kick for the third time. Also for the third time, Nagata goes for the Nagata Lock, and this time he gets it on! In the center of the ring, Bomb looks in serious trouble. Though he's in the hold for a full minute, Bomb won't give up and eventually makes it to the ropes. As Nagata gets up, he shouts abuse at the referee for some reason, before putting Bomb in another armbar.

It takes a while for Bomb to get out of this hold as well, eventually breaking it in just under a minute. Bomb is having serious problems in this match, and can't get anything going. He's been wrestling more lately than any other WWF wrestler, and maybe it's starting to take it's toll. Nagata pulls Bomb up and sends him into the ropes. He aims a clothesline but Bomb ducks, on the way back the champion hits one of own, sending Nagata down. Bomb starts posing to the crowd in an action not too far removed from a hulk-up. Bomb nails a few right hands and then takes Yuji down with a powerslam. He whips Nagata hard into the turnbuckle and then follows in with a powerful clothesline. He whips Yuji into the ropes next and then hits a clothesline of such force that it sends Nagata to the outside of the ring. Bomb follows him out and the two brawl around the ring area. This continues a lot longer than Nagata would have wanted it to, as the referee continues to count. Eventually Bomb rams Yuji headfirst into the guardrail, and Bomb then returns to the ring and wins by countout! Cheap finish.

Adam Bomb defeated Yuji Nagata by countout in 10-57

Ross - That's gonna go down as a classic, King.

King - Yeah whatever. How can you expect me to care about that match when up next we're gonna have the cruiserweight title match JR?

Ross - Sorry King, I thought you were a professional...

King - Quiet JR. I'm gonna introduce this next set of clips. Let's take a look at the glorius cruiserweight title reign of Brian Christopher, so far!

(Highlights and the finishes to B.C.'s matches against Psychosis (March 30th) and Juventud Guerra (April 9th) are shown)

King - Fantastic!

Ross - I'm literally in awe King. Let's go back up to Howard Finkel!

Finkel - Ladies and gentlemen, this next contest, scheduled for one fall, with a thirty minute time limit, is for the World Wrestling Federation Cruiserweight Championship! Introducing first the challenger, from San Diego California, he weighs one hundred and forty pounds, Rey Mysterio Jr!

Finkel - And his opponent, from Memphis, Tennessee, weighing two hundred and fourteen pounds, the World Wrestling Federation Cruiserweight Champion, Brian Christopher!

(Cruiser Championship)

Brian Christopher vs Rey Mysterio Jr

After Brian and Rey lock up, Christopher grabs Mysterio in a side headlock, but Rey sends him into the ropes. Brian hits him with a left hand once Rey bounces back, and then whips Rey back into the ropes. He aims a clothesline but Mysterio ducks, and then takes Christopher down with a back body drop. Rey goes down to the mat and applies a front facelock. Brian struggles in the hold for a while, before eventually getting to the ropes in just under thirty seconds. Mysterio gets to his feet and tries to kick Christopher in the chest, but the champion takes him down with a legsweep. Christopher goes up top and nails a flying dropkick on Rey, and then hits a full nelson faceslam.

Christopher then lays a boot into Rey's midsection before sending him into the ropes once again. He goes for a clothesline, but Mysterio ducks and then takes him down with a crucifix for the match's first two count. Mysterio has the upper hand now, and he executes a Japanese armdrag takdown on BC. He picks Christopher up and places him on the top turnbuckle, before hitting a top rope frankensteiner! Brian appears to be out, but his positioning enables him to get a foot on the ropes. Mysterio then attempts his patented springboard hurracanrana, but somehow Christopher finds the strength to convert it into a powerbomb! Christopher covers Mysterio but only gets a two and a half count.

Brian pulls Rey up to his feet and then whips him into the ropes. He nails Mysterio in the chest and then attempts a German suplex. Rey however gives him a hard back kick to the groin, knocking Christopher to the mat and breaking his hold. Rey then dominates the next portion of the match, his offence including a flying headscissors, a springboard rana and a springboard dropkick. Brian turns it around though, as he blocks an armdrag and nails Rey with a lariat. He hits Mysterio with another faceslam, before climbing up to the top turnbuckle. Christopher plants an elbow on the laid out Mysterio and gets a two count out of it. Brian then puts Rey in a headlock, and keeps him there for over a minute.

Eventually Mysterio refinds his strength and powers up to his feet. He elbows his way out of the hold, and then nails Christopher with a flying forearm. Rey takes over again from here on, and nails Brian with a snap suplex. He follows it up with an armbar, obviously not wanting to take too much of a risk at this point. He works on it for quite a long period of time, before laying Brian flat out with a DDT. He goes up top and hits a flying cross bodyblock on Christopher as he gets to his feet, but Brian kicks out at two. Then, for the second time of the match, Rey hits a top rope frankensteiner on the champion. Mysterio is unable to cover though, as Christopher manages to roll to the outside of the ring. Brian staggers about for a while, before grabbing his title belt from ringside and making a run for it!

The referee watches him leave for a moment and then calls Howard Finkel over. The two men exchange words for a few seconds.

Finkel - Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been informed by the referee, that if Brian Christopher does not return to the ring by the count of ten, then he will lose the match, *and* the cruiserweight championship!

Brian screams and then runs back to the ring as fast as he can. Instead of going after Mysterio though, he verbally berates the referee. Mysterio promptly rolls him up from behind and wins the title! Hmm.

King - That's it. I'm outta here JR.

Ross - What, you're leaving?!

Lawler leaves the announcers table and goes to console Brian. The two leave the ring area together.

Ross - What? Well, I guess it's just me out here now, wait, get that guy back here! We're gonna try and get the King back out here while you go backstage to these words with the RoadWarriors!

Hawk - Well, tonight is the night that you two won't be feeling alright, after we get done beating the crap outta you two spring chickens! You're about to get crushed like an out of date can of beans in a recycling machine!

Animal - That's right. Bob Holly? Bart Gunn? You two chickenshits are going down tonight! You tried to weasel your way out of the cage, and you couldn't do it. There's gonna be no way out tonight either, and we're gonna batter you from wall to wall!

Hawk - Oh, what a rush!

Ross - Well the King is gone folks, but not withstanding that, let's go to the ring for this huge cage match!

Finkel - Ladies our gentlemen, this next contest is for the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship! Victory can be achieved via pinfall, submission, or by climbing out of the cage and *both* feet touching the floor! And now the competitors! Introducing first, at a combined weight of five hundred and sixty two pounds, RoadWarrior Hawk, RoadWarrior Animal, The RoadWarriors!

Finkel - And their opponents, at a total weight of four hundred and ninety three pounds, Bart Gunn, Bob Holly, The New Midnight Express!

(Tag Team Championship)

The RoadWarriors vs The New Midnight Express

There's a referee in the ring and the match will be contested under tag team rules inside the cage. Animal and Bob Holly start out, and after they lock up, Holly scoops Animal up and bodyslams him. He immediately goes for the cover, but Animal easily kicks out. Holly nails a German suplex and then showboats to the crowd as Animal lies on the mat. Holly waits for Animal to get to his feet, and then, coming of the ropes, attempts a swinging neckbreaker, but Animal blocks and nails a side suplex. Holly goes to crawl into his corner, but Animal grabs him by the hair and sets him up for a powerbomb. Holly blocks it though, but gets sent into the ropes by Animal. Both men are sent to the mat due to the resulting double clothesline.

Both men get to their feet at pretty much the same time, and the two men trade right hands. Holly takes the advantage after kneeing Animal in the crotch, and then the cage comes into play for the first time, as Holly grinds Animal's face into it. He then tags out to Gunn, and The Express execute a double back suplex on the RoadWarrior. Holly leaves the ring, and Gunn picks Animal up and goes for an atomic drop. Animal blocks it though, and then proceeds to take Gunn down with a bulldog. Animal sends Gunn into the corner and then charges in after him. He sends Gunn headfirst into the turnbuckle ten times before clotheslining him into the middle of the ring. Animal tags in Hawk for his first action of the night, and he and Animal snd Gunn into the ropes. They go for a double back body drop, but Gunn comes to a halt and bashes their heads together, sending them both down.

Animal goes to the apron, whilst Gunn nails Hawk with a forearm smash. He goes for a hiptoss, but Hawk rakes him in the eyes, following that with a vertical suplex. Hawk then hits a piledriver on Gunn and attempts to climb the cage. Gunn pulls him back down before he can get very far, but Hawk still controls. He executes a faceslam and then a fistdrop on Gunn before making another trip to the door. The rules state of course, that only the legally tagged in man can exit the cage for the victory. Gunn again easily gets to him in time and after clotheslining Hawk to the mat from behind, he tags Holly back in. Gunn and Holly whip Hawk into the ropes, and then hit him with a double kick to the midsection. Gunn leaves the ring, and Holly hits a kneelift on Hawk. He then sends him into the ropes again, but on the way back, Hawk lifts him up and gorilla presses him.

Hawk goes for another piledriver, but Holly turns it into a back bodydrop. Holly can't turn that into any kind of momentum for him though, as Hawk gets up and floors him with a right hand. He climbs up to the top turnbuckle and nails Holly with a flying shoulderblock for a two count. He attempts a bodyslam on the Express member, but Holly cradles him up in a small package for a two count of his own. Holly gets up to his feet first and plants a boot to Hawk's head. He nails him with a side suplex, and then throws him head first into the cage. He then whips Hawk into the corner and then charges in. Hawk lifts his knee though, and sends Holly to the mat, holding his stomach in pain. Hawk begins to climb up the cage. He is nearly over the top by the time Holly gets up to meet him, and soon Hawk and Holly are fighting on the cage.

Holly rams Hawk into the steel repeatedly, and this sends Hawk crashing back down to the mat. Instead of continuing his ascent of the cage, Holly goes back to the ring as well, and hits an elbowdrop on Hawk. Hawk has been in the ring for a while now, and would be well advised to tag Animal in as soon as possible. Holly sends him into the ropes and then tries to back flip him, but Hawk is able to block and piledrive Holly. Hawk at last tags in Animal, but he stays in for a moment, as he and Animal hit Holly with a double clothesline. Once Hawk leaves, Animal takes Holly down with a vertical suplex. Holly has been in the ring for quite a while too now. Animal hits a gutwrench suplex for a two count, and then hits a flying shoulderblock from the top rope for another. With Holly lying face up on the mat, Animal decides to catapult him into the cage, not once, not twice, but thrice! Holly busts himself wide open on the third one, but is given time to recover as he crawls over and tags Bart Gunn back in.

Gunn takes Animal down with a dropkick, sending him back into the ropes, and Gunn then nails him with another as he comes back, this time knocking him down. Gunn hits a suplex and then covers for two. Unfazed by Animal's kick out, Gunn picks him up and then DDT's him. He goes to climb up the cage, but Hawk comes across and yanks him down by his pants. Animal is now back up to his feet, and he hits Gunn with an enzirguri. Animal then hoists Gunn up on his shoulders and tags Hawk in. Hawk climbs to the top turnbuckle and the RoadWarriors execute the Doomsday Device on Gunn! Hawk covers but Holly breaks the pin. Animal then picks *Holly* up onto his shoulders, and Hawk nails the Doomsday Device on him! Hawk lands badly on the mat though, and as his head hits the mat hard, he looks to be out cold. Animal drags his partner back over to their corner of the ring, then steps back out to the apron and tags Hawk's lifeless hand.

Both Midnight Expressers are out cold on the canvas, and Animal goes straight for the door. As he steps through the ropes though, he is met with the presence of the Headhunters, who are blocking the exit for some reason. Animal goes to shove his way past, but he gets nailed on the head with a chair from Headhunter #2. Animal falls back into the ring, and The Headhunters enter the ring. Both Headhunters beat on Animal, whilst in the meantime Bart Gunn and Bob Holly have gotten to their feet. With Animal being brutalised and Hawk holding his head in agony, Gunn and Holly have a clear route out, and they climb out over the cage unopposed to win the match!

Ross - My god, what business do the Headhunters think they have here?

The beating continues in the ring until The Headbangers charge to the ring, steel chairs in hand. They enter the cage and eventually herd the 'Hunters out, and are tending to the injured RoadWarriors as we go backstage.

HBK - Well, it's getting close to the main event here in Greensboro, and it's getting close to the time when myself and this man Triple H, are gonna go out and kick some butt. Tell 'em Hunter.

HHH - That's right Heartbreak, you will see some asses kicked tonight, and Sycho Sid and Jeff Jarrett are two of the biggest asses we've ever seen. And I know a lot of people have been talking about what's gonna happen if it comes down to just me and The Heartbreak Kid...

HBK - A lot of people have been talking about that.

HHH - Sure, everyone's talking about us. From the bright lights of Hollywood, to all the beautiful women in Carolina, *everyone* is talking about D-Generation X. But going back to the point I was gonna make, you don't have to worry about seeing me going one on one with Shawn Michaels, we've got it *all* worked out.

HBK - We certainly do. Jeff Jarrett? Kiss your WWF title goodbye!

Ross - Comments there from D-Generation X. Now while we were showing you that pre-recorded interview, Hawk and Animal were helped out of the ring area by The Headbangers. Folks, I have no idea at all about why The Headhunters came out here, they've done enough damage tonight. Moving on from that, we're about to have more action as Chris Chetti takes on The Barbarian, but first let's take you backstage again where this time The Nation is standing by.

Rock - Well the final day of reckoning is upon us, and the Nation can prove it's superiority once and for all. What I want to talk about right now is some comments that Chris Benoit made last night. He claimed he had beaten the Nation several times before, but Benny? That hasn't been the case and you know it. And even if you are pig ignorant, you'll know that that's not the case tonight, if ya smell what the Rock is cooking!

Booker - It's clear to see Rock, that Benoit is ignorant, as are those other two fools he's got with him. His ignorance is just part of the ignorance and discrimination I've been getting here since I did the best thing for my career and joined the Nation. But we don't need to go into that right now, but Benoit, Owen, Runnels? We're gonna pull each and every one of you apart, bit by bit!

Henry - And to anyone out there who said I was the weak link in this team, I think my performances over the past few weeks have shown that those people were ignorant too.

Rock - Ignorant.

Ross - And now we're gonna go to the ring for more action!

Finkel - The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a twenty minute time limit. Introducing first, from Amityville, New York, weighing two hundred and twenty seven pounds, Chris Chetti!

Finkel - And his opponent, from the island of Tonga, weighing in at two hundred and ninety five pounds, The Barbarian!

Chris Chetti vs The Barbarian

The Barbarian takes the quick advantage, executing a back suplex on Chetti out of the lock up. He then sends the Rookie into the ropes, but Chetti reverses it and then takes the big man down with a legsweep. Chetti then hits a dragon suplex for a two count. Chetti dominates here in the opening period, as he executes a diving elbow smash on The Barbarian. He follows that up with a spinning backbreaker and a flying bulldog, both moves getting close two counts. Chetti takes him down once again with a flying headscissors, and then sends the Tongan into the ropes. The Barbarian however ducks Chetti's clothesline, and then knocks Chetti to the mat with a vicious chop to the chest.

The Barbarian nails Chetti with a hotshot, before attempting to put Chris in a bearhug. Chetti rakes his eyes though and breaks the hold before it can even be applied. Chetti lays in a few boots to the chest and then throws the Barbarian out over the top. He goes for a tope, but The Barbarian easily gets out of the way in time. The two men geing trading rights and lefts and brawl around the ring area for some time. Chetti takes control though, as he blocks and reverses a suplex, sending The Barbarian down to the concrete. Chetti then has the big man in agony as he sends him to the floor again with a jack-knife power bomb. After sending The Barbarian into the ringsteps and guardrail, Chetti throws him back in.

As before, Chetti dominates inside the ring with an onslaught of moves. He hits a flying dropkick, a slingshot legdrop, a diving elbow smash and a flying headscissors all in quick succession. He attempts to finish The Barbarian off, but The Barbarian moves out of the way of Chetti's moonsault bodyblock. Chetti regains the advantage though, almost straight away, as The Barbarian misses a flying kneedrop. Chetti returns up to the top turnbuckle himself, but as he attempts a flying axehandle, The Barbarian pulls the referee in between them, and the ref falls to the mat unconscious. Chetti immediately DDT's The Barbarian and covers him, though obviously the ref can't count. The camera cuts to the aisle, as "Marvelous" Marc Mero sprints to ringside. He enters the ring, pulls Chetti up to his feet, and then hits him with the TKO! The Barbarian puts his arm over Chetti to cover, and the referee eventually counts the pin.

The Barbarian defeated Chris Chetti in 7-14

Rating = -.75*

Ross - Well, I don't want to condone any of that kind of behaviour, but Chetti did the exact same thing to Mero last night. This feud isn't gonna be over by a long shot. Without any further ado though, let's go to ringside for out huge six man elimination match!

Finkel - The following six man contest, will be fought under Survivor Series rules. The match will continue until one team has been completely eliminated! Introducing first, at a total weight of six hundred and ninety nine pounds, Owen Hart, Dustin Runnels and the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion, Chris Benoit!

Finkel - And their opponents, at a total combined weight of nine hundred and seventy two pounds, Mark Henry, Booker T, and The Rock!

Elimination Tag Team Match

Chris Benoit/Owen Hart/Dustin Runnels vs The Rock/Booker T/Mark Henry

Fresh off their match last night, Owen Hart and Booker T kick things off. Kick being the operative word as Booker gives Hart a boot to the chest. He sends Owen into the ropes, but Booker gets taken down with a belly to belly suplex from Hart. Booker gets to his feet, but then gets nailed by Dustin Runnels with a DDT! The referee gets Runnels out of the ring, whilst Owen goes to the top and hits a flying dropkick on Booker. He picks him up and goes for a bodyslam, but Booker wraps his arm around Owen and takes him into a small package for a two count. When the two men get up to their feet, Booker takes control. He sends Hart into the ropes and then takes him down with a swinging neckbreaker. He follows it up with a flying clothesline, which gets a two count again. Booker then tags in Mark Henry, but before the two men can launch any doubleteam manouevre, Dustin Runnels enters the ring again and takes Booker out over the top. He and Hart then whip Henry into the ropes and knock him down with a double clothesline. Runnels then leaves the ring. Owen punches Henry in the chest, and then tags Runnels in for real.

More doubleteam action follows, as Booker T comes back in and sends Owen Hart to the outside, and then he and Henry give Dustin a double forearm to the back. As Booker leaves the ring, Henry traps Runnels in a bearhug. Runnels gets to the ropes after just under thirty seconds in the hold, but he's knocked down to the mat soon after as Henry takes him down with a shoulderblock. Runnels gets the advantage though, as Henry proceeds to miss a legdrop, and Dustin then nails him with a forearm smash. He nails Mark with a series of said elbowsmashes, before hitting him with a swinging neckbreaker. Instead of covering, Dustin goes up to the top rope. He goes for a flying clothesline, but Henry rolls out of the way. Booker T then comes in again and he nails Runnels with a jumping side kick. Booker and Henry hit a double suplex before Owen steps through the ropes and clotheslines Booker out. He and Dustin then take Henry down with a flying dropkick, and the tide has turned again in this match.

Runnels hits a flying bulldog on Henry, and gets a two count out of it. He tags Owen back in, and he goes at Henry with a series of right hands. Henry staggers back into his corner, and then tags Booker T in once again. Nearly five minutes gone and we still haven't seen Benoit or Maivia in the ring. Booker takes Owen to the mat with a headlock takedown and then keeps the hold on for a while. Owen eventually gets to his feet and then sends Booker into the ropes. He misses a clothesline, and then gets caught with one from Booker T, who then once again tags Mark Henry in. Booker and Henry nail Owen with a doubloe elbowsmash, and then a double headbutt. As Booker leaves, Henry hits a belly to belly suplex for a two count. Henry then tags Booker in, but Booker gets hit with a dropkick from the now standing Owen Hart. Owen lays into Booker with some fierce punches, before throwing him to the outside. The two men brawl on the outside, back and forth, before Owen throws Booker back in. Hart whips Booker into the ropes again, but gets nailed with a flying forearm. Booker then places Hart in a sleeper and traps him in the hold for a good minute.

When Owen finally gets up and to his feet, he elbows out of the hold and then nails Booker with an enzirguri. Owen gorilla presses Booker and then clotheslines him into the Nation corner. In comes The Rock at last! Maivia charges at Hart, but gets taken down with a single leg takedown. Owen then pulls him up and knocks him right back down with a kneelift. In comes Chris Benoit at last! Benoit attempts a dropkick at Maivia for his first action of the night, but Rocky sidesteps it, and Benoit goes crashing to the mat. Maivia picks Benoit up for a bodyslam, but the IC Champion wraps him up in small package for a two count. Benoit then goes for a Northern Lights suplex, but Maivia blocks and hits a swinging neckbreaker for a two count of his own. Maivia sends Benoit to the floor, where he manhandles him. The Rock Bottom and The Peoples Elbow are both executed on the concrete, as well as a DDT and a jumping suplex. Rocky is acting like a mofo on Benoit, and completely fails to hear the referee's ten count. Verdict - A double countout!

Back in the ring, the four remaining men all protest to the referee, before the ring empties by half and we have Mark Henry and Dustin Runnels locking up. Henry takes the advantage, hitting a succession of bodyslams and elbowdrops on Dustin. The action then goes back to the outside, and soon all four men are involved. We have mayhem of ECW proportions as the rulebook goes out of the window. Both teams use chairs and other ringside apparatus, but the referee lets it go. Eventually the ref does get the action to return to the ring, and the match settles down once again. Henry puts Runnels in a reverse chinlock soon after the match resumes, and Dustin has some trouble getting out. Once he does though, close to a minute later, he sends Henry into the ropes. For some reason, he attempts to back body drop Henry, but Henry blocks, and hits a powerbomb! 1-2-3, goodbye Dustin!

We're down to just Owen Hart against Mark Henry and Booker T. Henry attacks Owen on the apron and pulls him into the ring by the hair. He hits Hart with a forearm to the back and then rakes his eyes. A headbutt and an elbowsmash follow, and things don't look good for Owen. Hart however, manages to reverse a whip reversal from Henry, and he nails the big man with a right hand. Another one and Henry is staggering. Owen goes up top and hits a flying dropkick, which he gets a two count out of. He then sends Henry into the turnbuckle, and then nails him with a clothesline in the corner. He clotheslines Henry to the outside and proceeds to dominate Mark, repeatedly ramming him into the post and steps. The referee gets to nine and it starts to look like we'll have another double countout on our hands, but Owen tosses Henry back inside before it's too late. Henry rolls away from Owen before he can get any more offence in and he tags in Booker.

As Booker enters the ring, Owen boots him in the chest and then nails him with an enzirguri! Booker flops down to the mat, and is easy prey for the Sharpshooter. Owen locks it on and just a few seconds later, Booker is outta there! As Owen releases the hold though, Henry hits him with a hard clothesline from behind. Hart falls to the mat, and Henry climbs to the top rope. Big splash, it's all over.

Ross - My god, what a win for the Nation! Mark Henry getting the pinfall on both Dustin Runnels and Owen Hart! You've got to hand it to Hart though, he gave it all he's got there at the end, but when you're up against two guys like Booker and Mark Henry... But, if you thought that match was something special, think about this. We are just a few minutes away from the World Heavyweight Championship match! Jeff Jarrett, Sycho Sid, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and Shawn Michaels all going at it! Let's go to Howard Finkel!

Finkel - The following contest is a four man battle royal, and it is for the World Wrestling Federation Championship! Competitors can be eliminated via pinfall, submission or over the top rope! Introducing first, from Greenwich, Connetticut, weighing two hundred and seventy nine pounds, Hunter Hearst Helmsley!

Finkel - And the second competitor, from West Memphis, Arkansas, he weighs three hundred and thirty two pounds, Sycho Sid!

Finkel - And the third participant, fighting out of San Antonio, Texas, weighing two hundred and thirty four pounds, he is the former World Wrestling Federation Champion, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels!

Finkel - And introducing the fourth combatant, hailing from Memphis Tennesse and weighing in at two hundred and thirty four pounds, the World Wrestling Federation Champion, Jeff Jarrett!

World Heavyweight Championship

Jeff Jarrett vs Sycho Sid vs Shawn Michaels vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley

With all four men in the ring at the same time, this was always going to be a chaotic match. To start, the four men pair off, Michaels going after Jarrett, and Helmsley going after Sid. Hunter hits Sid with a back suplex, and then after placing Sid on the top turnbuckle, hits him with a superplex! He then whips Sid into the ropes and goes for a roundhouse right but Sid blocks. Sid gives Hunter a righthand and then executes a back breaker on him. He tosses Helmsley over the top, but Hunter grabs onto the top rope, and proceeds to pull himself under. When Hunter gets up to his feet, he starts being laid into by Michaels! Shawn hits a bodyslam and then a flying elbowdrop as the crowd looks on in disbelief. As Jarrett and Sid go under the bottom rope and battle on the outside, Michaels sets Helmsley up for the SuperKick. Helmsley however, ducks and takes *Shawn* down with a legsweep. Michaels and Helmsley go at it with each other for a while, Shawn getting a close pin with a reverse neckbreaker, before they both shake hands and go after the other guys. DX is fine folks, relax!

As DX slips to the outside, Jarrett is in the middle of punching away on Sid. Michaels pulls him off by his hair though and tosses him back into the ring. Helmsley stays on the outside with Sid and sends him crashing into the guardrail. Inside the ring, Michaels bodyslams the champion to the mat and then climbs up to the top. Apparently going for an elbowdrop we never find out, as Jarrett gets to his feet and throws him to the mat. Jeff falls on top for the cover, but Shawn easily kicks out. Jarrett pulls Michaels up to his feet and nails him back down with a short clothesline. He covers again, but still only gets two. Jarrett kicks Michaels in the midsection, and then tosses him to the other side of the ring. He then slips to the outside and antagonises Sid, nailing him from behind with a right hand. Sid, who has just powerbombed Helmsley on the concrete, turns around and nails Jarrett with a punch that sees Jarrett to the ground. Sid tosses Helmsley back into the ring and then continues to go after Jarrett on the outside.

Michaels and Helmsley are once again going at it in the ring. Michaels hits a piledriver and gets an excruciatingly close two count. Picking him up, Michaels plants a boot in Hunter's chest and then locks an abodminal stretch on. Helmsley soon reaches the ropes though, but Michaels retains control with an inverted atomic drop. Having knocked Sid momentarily unconscious on the outside with a DDT, Jeff Jarrett re-enters the ring, and he and Shawn hit Helmsley with a double dropkick. Jarrett laughs, but Michaels wipes the smile off his face by hitting *him* with a DDT. Michaels goes for the cover here, but only gets two. Michaels and Jarrett keep themselves occupied with each other, whilst Sid enters the ring and gets at Helmsley. He whips Hunter into the ropes, but misses a clothesline, and gets caught with a clothesline from Hunter as he turns around. Hunter perhaps foolishly goes to the top rope, and his attempt at a flying kneedrop is unsuccessful. After Hunter goes crashing to the canvas, Sid covers for a one count.

Meanwhile, in a galaxy not too far away, Shawn Michaels is stomping away on Jarrett's leg. Shawn is obviously trying to stop the figure four from ever being a factor in this match, and it seems to be having an effect on Jarrett, as he's screaming in pain. Michaels works over Jarrett for a bit longer, and then cuts across the ring and clotheslines Sid as he's about to powerbomb Helmsley. Michaels nails Sid with righthand after righthand, before Sid picks him up like a ragdoll and throws him into the turnbuckle. As Jarrett starts stomping away on Triple-H, Sid charges into the turnbuckle. Michaels lifts a boot at the right moment though, and Sid goes face first into it. Shawn goes to the top rope and nails a bulldog on Sid, which he gets a two count out of. On the other side of the ring, Jarrett and Helmsley are trading fists. Hunter takes control of this with a well timed knee to the groin.

Hunter knocks Jarrett down to the mat with a clothesline, and then he locks Jarrett in the figure four! Jarrett struggles and struggles in the hold for a fair amount of time, until inexplicably, Sycho Sid breaks the hold. He pulls Helmsley up, and then delivers a brutal chokeslam. Hunter appears to be out, but instead of tossing him out, Sid puts him in position for the powerbomb. Unlike before, this time he hits it! Helmsley is out cold and Sid goes down to cover. On the count of two though, Michaels turns from his ongoing battle with Jarrett to pull Sid of Hunter, and throw him out over the top rope! Sid is out!

Sid throws a fit on the outside, and per his contract, takes out all the officials who try to calm him down. Eventually he storms out, leaving Jeff Jarrett, Triple-H and Shawn Michaels left in the ring. Michaels and Helmsley now focus all their attention on Jarrett, as they whip him into the ropes and then nail him with a double clothesline. This double teaming continues for a good few minutes, and Jarrett looks in serious trouble. The match looks to be all over for Jarrett as Hunter locks on a figure four on him again. Whilst Hunter has Jarrett's legs wrapped up, Michaels is working on the champions face, pummeling him into submission. DX is in complete control as the camera pans to the aisle. Is that Jesse Jammes? The Roadog enters the ring, grabs Michaels by the hair and throws him over the top rope! Michaels falls to the concrete in disbelief as he realises what's happened! He jumps back up on the apron and asks Jammes what the hell he's doing, but Jesse tells him to meet him *down there*. Michaels simply turns and storms off down the aisle shaking his head. As Hunter Hearst Helmsley goes towards Jammes, he gets clobbered from behind by a limping Jeff Jarrett. Hunter staggers forward, and is subjected to a right hand from the Roadog! Jarrett then rolls Helmsley up from behind and gets the three count! Jarrett retains!

Jeff Jarrett won a 4 man battle royal in 18-39

(Jeff Jarrett retained the WWF World Heavyweight Title)

Rating = ****.25

We can clearly hear Helmsley saying "Fuck him" as the show goes off the air.
