LOMAX THING

~Band

03/01/01 - Well who was pissed off a week ago? Anyway we're playing the Custard Factory again, on Saturday 3rd February. There's a whole bunch of other bands gonna be there as well (Dogshit Sandwich and One Less Than None are the two I can remember).

I've been reading H. P. Lovecraft's short stories, they're very good.

26/12/00 - Our normal studio 'Sound Station' has closed down so we've moved to a new one called 'Robannas'. God this page is boring. Anyway I hope everyone had a good pagan festival and bought lots of gifts. I can't complain I got a few. That logo is cocky I hope we ditch it soon. I could ditch it right now as I'm actually editing this page but then it would look less 'flashy' so I won't. We'll play in the Foundry soon if they let us. Should be good. It just occured to me nobody actually knows the address of this page anyway. See you Andrew.

FUCK YOU ALL

27/11/00 - We played on Friday. The other bands Flyer and Detour pulled out so I called some people I know who could fill in (Knievel and Draw Teddy), and they did which was great. Despite all the flyers only 6 people came which was very dissappointing (along with the lack of any posters or promotion of any kind at the venue itself). I've lost my faith in flyers. I'll try posters next. Asking friends who have lots of friends who follow them everywhere is another technique to try. There must be hundreds of ways.

We played quite drunk which was fun - there weren't very many people to let down anyway.

15/11/00 - Things are going really well at the moment. We are playing next Friday, and should have some photos up by then too. We'll try to advertise this gig a bit more and get a good turnout, because we've found if you don't tell anyone who you are then nobody will know who you are. Nobody will ask, so you really have to announce a lot.

Wes has only been here for 4 practises but we've already got 7 or more songs worked out for Friday. I've been lent a good effects peddle for this gig so I might give it to Neil to get some distorted bass or something weird like that. But, most importantly, Neil has a job at Argos and can pay for something now. Just kidding Neil.

I was got a girl in the US to listen to one of our tracks. So someone in Pennsylvania knows what we sound like.

12/11/00 - A Hospital. I'd like to forget that soon.

02/11/00 - We have a new drummer now, Wes. We had our first practice with Wes tonight - although we have played before but only briefly - and we just concentrated on one song the whole time, and it went really well.

If you ever read this Adam, thanks for playing with us you were great.

25/10/00 - 3 piece formed 1999/2000. Energetic, melodic/dischordant heavy riffs. Neil and I think a lot of music these days is poor, I'm not sure what Adam thinks. But this isn't a reaction to that anyway. We'd like to make some rough-edged stuff, live sounding, lyrics usually off the cuff. Music for the sake of music, because it feels good and makes you think.
