My Twin

"Let Me Lean on You"

Keep your eyes upon me.
Keep me in your sight.
Help me down the crooked road.
Lead me to the light.
The road I知 on is dark
I知 not sure I know the way.
But with you beside me
I know I will not stray.
Protects me from the world I知 in
I知 certain we値l make it through.
Let me hold your hand
Let me lean on you.

Brittany is not only my best friend, she is the sister I never had. It's scary sometimes because people look at us when we're together and say "Are you guys sisters?" I never really talked to Brittany at all from kindergarten through fourth grade. It all started in fifth grade when both of us were seperated from our real friends and we had no one we really knew in Mrs. Porter's class. From about the first day we "clicked". We always were partners for projects and did the most elaborate things from a presentation award for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe characters with a blow-up doll, to making a "Rain Forrest Rap" for a science project. Both of us have had some devestating times over the last couple of years; life has just been really hard lately. We understand what eachother is going through and make each other stronger. Whether it's just a good joke or a round of crying, we always feel better and more comfortable when we are together. The way we finish each other's sentences and read each other's minds is just a special "vibe" we have between one another. Although our taste and personalities are so much alike, there are also some differences that are used to compliment each other. From the good times to the bad ones, not a day goes by that I don't thank God for bring such a wonderful friend into my life.
