Sandman: The Doll House

Grade:

The Doll House reprints a much stronger second ark to the Sandman saga. It begins with the excellent Death story, then moves on to a myth in the next issue which never even comes up in the rest of the book. This myth is very important latter, the foreshadowing is excellent. Next comes the main story, the Doll House about a woman who is a danger to the dream realm, four escaped servents of dream, a killers convention, and many other plot lines, including the introduction of a key character Barbie, who is featured in A Game of You.

The mood of the stories is better that the first arc and there is a very clear direction to the story. A much bigger element of the relm itself is brought up, and it keeps the book interesting. The art is not the best, but it gets the job done. Overall, this is a big improvement over the last book, and still just a hint of what the series would achieve.
