The Marvin Depreciation Society

War: One has to realize that the powerful industrial groups concerned in the manufacture of arms are doing their best in all countries to prevent the peaceful settlement of international disputes ...

Pithy Sayings

The fan club was mentioned on the sleeves of Marvin's 1981 hit singles "Marvin" and "Reasons To Be Miserable", as follows:

For further news of how bad life can be, write to:
The Marvin Depreciation Society, 2 Whitechurch Lane, London E1

The proprietors were:

SARM Productions Limited
Osborne House
Osborn Street
London E1 6TD
United Kingdom
Tel: +44-171-247-1311

I wrote off in 1981 and received details of why not to join. I did anyway and received a copy of the first (and only) newsletter.

The Marvin Depreciation Society seems to have died shortly after its creation. This is somehow appropriate.
