“Dream Attack”

I go to school and I meet the one that I love.
I see her looking at me, the light shines above.
I ask her out and I’m waiting for the answer.
The glare that’s in her eye shows yes for the answer.

She says happily, “Yes, I will go out with you.”
Now is my chance to prove to her that my love’s true.
I look into her eyes and I wait for a while.
Then I see her give me a very pretty smile.

We walk down the hallway while I’m holding her hand.
Now that I’m with her, there’s nothing more I’ll demand.
I am so happy today now that I’m with her.
I’m having the greatest time in my life ever.

I ask her if I could go to her house tonight,
so we can know each other more.  She said, “All right.”
I let her go to her class.  I am so happy.
All of this had made me ultimately happy.

That night, I walked to her house.  I knocked on the door.
Her mother greeted me in and she closed the door.
I see the one that I love sitting on the couch.
I walked and I sat right next to her on the couch.

We talked about our interests and some other things.
There were many subjects that our minds had to bring.
I didn’t know where this little chat was headed to.
She said to make this night great, a small kiss would do.

She said we don’t have to kiss if you don’t want to.
I said it could be a way to prove that I’m true.
She holds the back of my head and comes close to me.
This will be my first kiss ever.  I’m so happy.

I feel her soft lips touch mine.  I kiss her strong.
I will try to make this kiss last forever long.
A buzzing sound annoys me.  She loses her charm.
I wake up from the buzzing sound of the alarm.

I sit and think what happened. None of that happened.
I’m back in reality.  Why did this happen?
The best day of my life wasn’t quite as it seemed.
I cry out in tears because it was all just a dream.

I am still hurt to this day because of that dream.
