Happiness in a cage? The beauty of a controlled environment? Singapore is no holiday resort. It is however, a land of opportunities and more.The Singaporean way of doing things has attracted many criticism from westerners that feel some disrespect for one's individuality and freedom. I don't disagree however unlike other cities in the world Singapore is one you can actually use rather than be abused by.
I would not suggest anyone to go to Singapore on holiday as there is not too much for the traveler -but a lot for the tourist, shopping that is. But I would certainly advise anyone moving to Asia to consider it as a base. It is a great city and so far the best place where I have lived.
