"Somewhere. Twenty corners of the world" was performed at the ZPAF, Polish Photographers Association in Warsaw. It consists of twenty photos taken around the world. I used Minolta and Nikon sets and lenses from 17 to 200 mm. Films were mostly Kodak Kodachrome 64, Fuji Velvia and Provia. I didn't use flash lights on these shots.

Egypt, Abu Simbel.
Abu Simbel is a great place, stunning in size and beautifully located. If the outside is impressive the inside is charmingly unespected. The empty rooms are rather small and the stone walls are covered with writings. Try not to get there with a tourist bus as you'll be forced to visit the site with loads of people and it will spoil it. I took a local bus from the market and the trip itself was already an interesting experience. If you prefer more comfort, then you can hire a driver. The point is, since Abu Simbel is always crowded you need freedom to decide when to go and when to leave.

Italy, Bellagio.
The North of Italy is an area of mountains and lakes. One of the most famous and beloved ones is the Como lake. It is very beautiful indeed. If you're a biker you shouldn't miss it. Bellagio is a tiny village at the very tip of the triangularly shaped land that splits the lake in two and gives it the shape of an upside down "Y". As always if you avoid the peak season ( June to September, particularly week ends ) you'll get the best of it.

Thailand, near the Myanmar border.
We were traveling Thailand along the famous "Death Railroad" from Kantchanaburi that ends after less then 100 km. Roughly knowing where we were heading to we took a bus westbound, then an other across hills and jungle. Finally hired two guys on motorbikes and crossed a long, high wooden bridge leaping over a large river. We ended up in a village. The houses were made in simple tribal style, doors were wide open. We walked for a while and ended up in a wide area overlooking the brown river and the valley. A large temple dominated the scene. Getting closer I finally met my picture.

White nights in Lapland.
If travelling can a jurney into oneself, then Finland would be mine. This picture was taken at about midnight somewhere near Rowaniemi, the Lapland's capital. I was all set to shoot when unexpectedly a car entered the frame. I still remember my travel companion yelling "wait! there is a car".
