Mari-chan: So, it seems you found your way to this part. Yay. Here are some of the drawings I have done which represent my own original characters (or just random people). A LOT of these are inspiried by something I saw in anime or manga, so if they look familiar... be warned. Right now they're in thumbnail form, but as I scan more I'll try and organize them into separate pages. They'll also be in more or less chronological order, earliest to most recent, and as an added bonus you get a lil tidbit of info about the picture posted next to it. Well, enuff talking, enjoy <3!
This one's from a loooooong time ago... as far back as 1996, maybe. It was the first picture I drew of my best friend Sarah based on one I saw of Mistress9 from a Sailormoon artbook. She doesn't look really... anything like that, except for the hair color. She even hates wearing dresses. I just put it up to give an example of some of my early stuff and because I did do a pretty good job on the dress, I think.
Here's another one of Sarah, based on a picture of Umi from Magic Knight Rayearth by CLAMP. It would've been better if her legs were more realistic, and her katana wasn't so long, and her hair and skirt were blowing the same way. And if I hadn't drawn it on a piece of paper that had writing on the other side ^-^**. Oh well.
I'm not sure when I drew this, all I remeber is it is a character I created for my Zelgadis-based fanfic (which I never work on ^.^*)named Miza. I liked her outfit design, but her boots and gloves clashed with her hair too much, so in later drawings I made them blue.
I don't remember when I did this - I think it was in 1997 sometime. I don't remember much else except that I drew it in the car on the way to my aunt in Tennessee, and it's based on a picture of Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo that I found in a manga.
a picture of a girl from this slayers ML I used to be on. It was run by Chaos-chan, so Chaos-chan, hi! it's Mary-chan! Anyway, it's a picture of Liz, based on a picture of Sasami from a Tenchi Muyo manga (gotta love that series ^-^).
Here we have a picture of a girl holding a katana, based on a picture of Kaoru from a Rurouni Kenshin manga (I told you I liked to copy things). It's sorta like Sarah, but not really.
This is sort of a self-portrait, although I'm nowhere near as pretty as the girl I drew -_-. My hair's almost that long, and I'm almost that skinny, but with less boobs. This was drawn sometime in late 1999 or early 2000, I don't remember which.
Here's a picture I drew in early 2000, of a girl called Sanctity. The reason she's bleeding is she was just raped. The stars represent her dreams, which are unattainable.
Sanctity's "perfect world." This is the only picture she's not bleeding in, and the stars are close enough for her to touch. This is actually one of her dreams.
I drew this during band camp (no flute jokes, please, I play the flute...). The stuff on the hand was supposed to be water and bubbles, but it seems bubbles are hard to draw.
