Sloth
By Thom Washburn
Sloth
is a hard rocking four piece coming out of Claremont. Their sound can most easily be described as psychedelic hard
rock, being as it can take you from a soft mellow guitar to screaming vocals,
usually in a single song. They
formed originally in 1993, when guitar player Kristo Panos hooked up with
drummer Adam Figura. The current
inception of Sloth also includes bassist Andy Kowatch, and lead singer Rich
Love. The band has played with many
local and national rock acts, from local favorites Alien Ant Farm, to Papa
Roach, and most recently Disturbed and Kittie in Los Vegas. Their debut full length CD, Acedia, is available at their
website (www.slothmusic.com) and through the band at shows. They also have an old 4 song demo titled “22”, available
on the website, as well as T-shirts. They
also have an MP3, “Plastic”, available at www.mp3.com.
