History

1963 - The year when the organization was established in Central Luzon State University, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Members believed that when it was founded in CLSU that year, the members were not able to speed-up its recruitment programs. After several years, brother Pontiano P. Taray, believed to be coming from that certain university created a new chapter in Central Mindanao University in Musuan, Bukidnon, Philippines. He used the same By-laws in forming the new chapter. Later, the group changed its name from the original name "NU SIGMA PHI" wherein members are called NUANS into "MEGALITH NU SIGMA PHI SOCIETY", In short MEGANS. The organization was reorganized in the year 1972 (September 21), the day when the martial law was declared in the Philippines.
