Ladies
and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space
This file has been edited a bit; the ending is
lengthened and the intro has been shortened. I did his for space; by manipulating
samples I can reduce file size a tad. Anyway, the vital information is
that the file in question is 11 kHz, Mono, 8 bit which ensures that
it will not take very long to download. It is 3:40 long. Estimated
download time at 56KB: About five minutes.
Born
Never Asked
This is a cover that Jason did of an old Laurie
Anderson song. It is from Pure Phase. I've added a fade in to it, but the
sound quality isn't perfect...but it isn't bad. Anyway, it's also extremely
brief. Here's the vital stats: 22kHz, Mono
8 Bit, and it's about 19 seconds long. This should download
very quickly; it's only about 35Kb.
An
Evening of Contemporary Sitar Music
Well, this is the title track from the album
of the same name by Sp3. I've forgotten how long it is but it couldn't
be too long, about 35 seconds. 22KhZ 8 Bit Mono is what I'd have
to assume :) Note: Interesting trivia: On the CD Dreamweapon (see the News
section), the song is over 44 minutes long :)

Come
Together (2 Lone Swordsmen Mix)
This file on the other hand is a sample of Andrew
Weatherall's (most would say inferior) but nonetheless interesting big
beat remix of the Abbey Road EP version (the single mix). It is a
minute long, which makes it about 1/15th the size of the original. Nonetheless
it was recorded at 22KhZ 8 bit Mono which means the effect is, and
I quote the manual of the software that made this file, "superior to FM
quality." Estimated downloading time: Five minutes give or take. If the
above adress does not work try this
one instead.
Home
of the Brave: Live
This file is a brief (19 second) but very high-quality
snippet of the Royal Albert Hall version. I have added a fade-in to it
electronically. Vital stats: 22kHz, Mono
8 Bit and should download vert quickly.
Broken
Heart (Instrumental)
This file covers a minute or so of the lovely
Abbey Road instrumental version. However it is a very large file (at least
1.2 megs) so it may take some time to download, particularaly if your connection
is not very fast. Nonetheless, as per usual it is 22KhZ,
8 Bit Mono as all of these files are.
Spacemen
Jam - Part One
Spacemen
Jam - Part Two
Both of these files are from the little-heard
Sympathy For the Record Industry rerelease of Dreamweapon by Spacemen 3.
It is a fifteen minute track; both of these files are roughly forty-five
seconds long. When Part One fades out, click on Part Two to continue where
Part One left off. 22Khz 8 Bit Mono.
Soul 1
This track is a b-side from the Spacemen 3's
"Take Me To The Other Side" single. Unfortunately I haven't uploaded it
yet, but I will shortly. It's really a lovely song, though.
