You have Charles Dodds. Everyone knew him as Bevis Dodds and he is deceased. 
I forgot when but if you want to know I can find out. Let me know.

Hi Katy,
I was wondering if you could tell me the date and circumstances of Bevis's death. 
There is a web site that they are listing everyone that graduated in 1960. 
Bill Lamton wanted to know so he could list the information on Bevis. 
June nor I neither one remember the exact date.

Bevis was fatally burned on May 31,1963 while helping an elderly gentleman 
and fellow ham radio operator extend a roof antenna.  
The antenna fell against a high voltage wire line. 
The radio antenna he was holding hit hot wires and he was electrocuted. 
He died en route to the hospital.  
He was 22 yrs. old at the time and attending Memphis State.

My name is Katie Watson and Bevis Dodds was my uncle.  
He passed away when he was 21 .  
Mary Beth Kennnedy has contacted me as I put up a notice on classmates.com concerning him.  
I never knew my uncle, but his sister, my mom, and my grand parents never let a day go by without remembering him.  
I was looking for info from people who knew him.  
If you could pass on my email to anyone who would want to respond, I would appreciate it.
My mom is going to contact you with details of Bevis's death, as it it truly tragic.

Hi Bill,
I sent you my list of the class of 1961. 
If you don't want to put the e-mail address on for me just let me know 
and I will do it later when my sight comes back.  
Did you get my message about Bevis Dodds? 
That was nice of this sister to send us the info. 
I had forgotten that he died so early. 
I knew he wasn't very old but didn't realize he was only 22. 
that is such a shame. He was such a nice guy.

Dear Jake,

I will forward a message from my mom, Bevis's sister and hope that was your email address below.  
I long to know more about my uncle, as I was not born yet when he died.  
My grandparents never really got over his death, and still to this day, 
it is very hard for my mom to talk about as it was so tragic.  
I grew up in Michigan, but now live in Memphis and love it.  
I have been in touch with June Kelly and Mary Beth Kennedy regarding Bevis and love to hear about him.  
Thanks for the response, and let me know if my mom's email doesn't come through, and I can relay the circumstances.

Yes, that is it!!!  Thank you so much.  
I have that picture in my living room.  
When is your reunion?  
I was wondering if maybe, and let me know if this is any trouble, 
if maybe you could put out some paper and let some of
his friends write down some memories of him and then I could pick it up?  
My mom is creating a scrapbook of him and I think she would love that.  
He was her only sibling.  
Both my grandparents have passed away and they were such a close family.  
My grandmother always said she could not wait to join him.
I grew up in Michigan, but the whole reason I moved to Memphis was to be near my grandparents.  
I got married and stayed and actually live in Hein Park, close to where Bevis grew up on University.  
Are you a Memphian still?
