Tsukasa: Tsukasa is a timid and anti-social character who prefers to deal with his own problems. Due to the fact that he's unable to log out, he is unwillingly stuck in 'The World'. Unable to remember his past or true identity, he wanders and flees from battle. He has a mysterious relationship with Maha, who grants him the Twilight Tombstone which gave him the ability to call forth an unknown monster at will.

Mimiru: Outgoing, determined and energetic, Mimiru meets Tsukasa and tries to befriend him, but fails to do so on her first try. Although she doesn't give up, she tries her best to help Tsukasa.

Bear: Enjoys assisting newbie characters as his online task. His honor is to act like a big brother, which is why he worries and wants to know more about Tsukasa. He begins to investigate in the real world with BT, on Tsukasa's current strange situation.

Subaru: A kind but reserved system moderator in the head divison of the Crimson Knights. She's passionate about the ideas she stands firm on and is not easily pushed astray. She and Crim seem to have had a relationship in the past.

BT: BT's cunning character extracts information and influences other players easily. She focuses on gossip and information gathering rather than battling and exploring. It is hard to tell who's side she's on at any time. She's also an acquaintance of Bear's.

Aura: A slumbering young girl in white who hovers over a bed, surrounded by a floating teddy bear. Her field location is unknown. Upon touching her, Tsukasa is forced to watch a flashback of his past.

Maha:An enigmatic NPC who rarely leaves the field of which Aura rests. Maha does not have an actual "voice", but is able to speak and be understood by Tsukasa. Maha follows and obeys the commands of Morgana (the female voice within Aura's realm).

Crim: Known as "The Red Lightning". He was once a member of the Crimson Knights, but quit for an unknown reason. He's a carefree player with a humourous side. Crim returns to 'The World' after a long absence.

Sora: A high-leveled, self-centered and strange character who's known to be a Player Killer. He forces information out of characters and enjoys killing off those who oppose. He collects member addresses and loves to be silly.

Ginkan: As part of the Crimson Knights, Ginkan, like the other members, patrol around the server keeping order to those who may disrupt the peace. He serves under and is loyal to Subaru, with a grudge against Crim. Ginkan would take matters into his own hands if he wanted something done.
