Tenchi Muyo

Tenchi Muyo is an anime that starts with an everyday high school boy before weird things start happening to him. He runs into a Space Pirate (Ryoko) was has a strange animal that changes into a space ship (Ryo-Ohki), two Galaxy Police (Kiyone and Mihoshi), a Juraian Crown Princess (Ayeka), her younger sister (Sasami), and a "mad" scientist (Washu). At first he deals with each of these as they come to where he lives with his grandpa (Yosho) and father (Noboyuki). Soon, they travel to space, facing more adventures, and Tenchi finds out he is of the Juraian blood, a prince, from his grandfather and mother (Achika). Oh, and Ryoko AND Ayeka are both in love with Tenchi, and constantly fight for his affections.

That's the basics from the first season, and I'm not going to say what happens at the end of the first season, because it just isn't right! ^_^ But, I recommend this anime, filled with adventure, and even some romance! Besides, there are at least two seasons I know of, an OAV series, and two movies, and they are relatively easy to find...
