Sembach Air Base, West Germany

Sembach Air Base is is located in the southwestern part of Germany, and during my 4 year assignment (1978-1982) it was home to the 601st Tactical Air Control Wing.
The wing had two squadrons that flew OV-10A Bronco aircraft. These were used mainly for Forward Air Control & Observation missions. The wing also had five CH-53 choppers that flew many different types of support missions.
