ME

Well I thought my old page was a bit opinionated and insulting in some ways, so I thought I'd change it. I have some questions for all of you.

1) Why is it that when people like Christina Aguilera write crap songs like Genie in a Bottle they sell so well? She has a good voice yeah..but teenage diva...my ass! I mean, yeah she has a good voice, but I'm pretty sure that if someone like Macy Gray sang it, it wouldn't sell half as much. Is packaging really that important? What's happening to the industry? Oh sorry she didn't write Genie in a bottle.

2) Why do all 'grown-up' magazines think pop music is bad? I'm not ashamed at all and I will here admit that Spice Girls are my all time favourite band, Steps are cool, I own the CD, and I think Boyzone and Westlife are quite good. Even S Club 7 are pretty fun to listen to at times. Not only dance and indie are cool you know. It's only when pop gets too popular and over-played that it gets annoying. Crap like Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez...I love the way cameras always focus on their stomach or other...parts.

3) Why do people think Rockafella Skank and Song 2 are so cool? Sick of people saying they like Blur..'So what's your favourite song?' 'The one that goes Woohoo!' Drives me nuts. And no..you do not like Basement Jaxx just because you like Red Alert. You know, artists do release more than one cool song, and very often other stuff is better than the 'cool' song.

4) Why is it that everytime a band releases a greatest hits album (Boyzone for instance or in the case of Blur, a box set) or have major gigs (Blur at Wembley, Manics Millenium show) there are always speculations they will break up?

5) Why do Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, 98º, Moffatts and Boy Band number 230 all sound so similar? Notice how they all have a simliar bridge in them, all have that slow bit in the middle, then suddenly kicks up again, repeating the chorus about 3 million times before slowing down and ending on that tender and lovely slow note?

6) Why do people make such a big fuss out of Stereophonics when they aren't great? All their songs sound the same. What is it with the Welsh, why do people make such big fusses out of Welsh bands! And no, Cerys Matthews you are not foxy so please stop thinking you are!

7) Why do all magazines slag bands off after they go through a huge phase of success? It happened to Manics. Poor them. Everyone was oohing and aahing over 'This is my truth tell me yours.' Now they call it boring. Poor Blur. Nobody likes 13 cos it's not Song 2. Poor Leftfield. 'Rhythm and Stealth' isn't 'Leftism' so it's no good. Poor Supergrass. 'In it for the money' is darker than 'I should coco' therefore no way as good, so we'll just give it a 4 out of 10. If people like NME and Melody Maker keep doing things like that, one day everyone will be driven to the point of frustration..and no I would not like a replay of Richie Manic, suicidal acts are not encouraged.

8) Why do famous people like to give their children weird names? Brooklyn Beckham. Phoenix Chi Gulzar. Lennon Gallagher. Missy Albarn. What are we going to have next....Bono Yorke?

9) Why do all American alternative bands sound the same? I don't mean to stereotype like that, but it's true. Well with the few exceptions of Facing WInter, Limp Bizkit, Blink 182, Smash Mouth and a few others. I now see why it's such an achievement to break-through in America if you're not a Britney look-a-like, Nick Carter identical twin or as cool as Mr. Puff Daddy. Oh and why do Americans like country music so much? How did Garth Brooks sell so many records? Oh and I'm not like totally against Americans, but...I just wonder about the music trends from the Billboard charts.

10) Oh and last but not least the big question. How did Britney's tits grow so quickly? Growth spurt...definitely.

Sorry if I've insulted anyone here in anyway. Opinions have to be voiced. E-mail me if you want.
