                            | Angelique Hawthorne had a rough childhood, she was 3rd of 5 children and her father left her family before she was born.  She was raised in Shortditch by her mother and uncle where they rented 2 feeble rooms for 8 shillings a week.  When she was 7, she sold matches to help out her family and continued working odd jobs until she was 12.  When her uncle lost his job, she began working at a nearby factory and became the main source of income.  When she was at work one day, vampires killed her entire family, she was devestated and alone.  In 1895, she was called as slayer and the first thing she did was slay the vampires that killed her family.  Angelique insisted on keeping her friends Molly Carrington, Patch, and her crush Gordon Mycroft around, much to her watchers disapprovement.  She claimed that having a life away from slaying helped her maintain the focus she needed.  Her watcher was Peter Van Helsing, brother of vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing.  She trained in "The Lair" a subcellar beneath her watcher's house.  She trained in a state of the art makeshift gymnasium set up by the Council where she mastered the use of the bayonet, trained in Baritsu, La Canne, fencing and classical fighting styles.  In 1897, she fought and killed the legendary Springheel Jack.  Also that year, Angelique went up against Count Dracula.  Molly was captured and turned by Dracula.  Angelique managed to trap Dracula in a mold of wax and holy water, where he remained for an unknown period of time.  She sent away all her friends for their protection and continued slaying with only her watcher by her side.  She died of an unknown cause in 1897. |
