                                        | Marie-Christine was called in 1789 in Paris at the height of the French Revolution.  Her watcher was Edmund de Voison.  She lived at the Palace of Versailles with King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.  She was taught that her first priority was to the royal family, who had strict guidelines for a slayer in their company.  In fact, Marie-Antoinette requested a new slayer to be put into her service because after a botched slay, she felt Marie-Christine was no longer suitable for the task.  Her watcher served as her guardian, and she had been raised in matter befitting her status, in rank as well as in destiny.  Her entire family had perished in accidents or from illness before she could walk, making her the last of her line. In 1789, Marie-Christine tracked a vampire out into the city streets to track a vampire called L'Hero.  She spent several days among the peasants, and grew to see them as people.  Claiming to be more important, the royals summoned her back to the palace, she fought it but eventually gave in and went back.  Marie-Christine snuck back out onto the streets and Edmund followed.  He was captured by a mob led by L'Hero.  L'Hero was leading a mob of peasants against the royals, claiming that they were money-hungry tyrants.  She slayed L'Hero, and managed to arrive at the mob-scene just in time to see her watcher being put in the guillotine.  She went up to him, and all he said was that she failed miserably as a slayer.  When her watcher died, she began slaying the way she should-for everyone.  She died in 1790, activating the slayer Claudine. | | |
