Xiaoqin was called in Shanghai,China in 1856 at age 17.  Before her calling, she had been orphaned and went to live at the Way of the Tiger Monestary.  She watched the monks box and learned much of their openhanded combat and practiced it secretly.  One night, a man called Master Wang saw her training and decided to teach her more moves.  She and Master Wang trained for three years until his death in 1855 at age 98; Xiaoqin was 16.  She left the monestary after his death and went to Shanghai where she worked at the Blind Turtle Tavern.  About a year later, she escaped that lifestyle, killing a man in the process.  She began posing as a man shortly after and became a dock worker.  She had found a nice cellar to live in.  She set traps and killed whoever tried to steal it.  She took in 11 young girls whom nobody cared for and protected them.
On June 10,1856 while protecting a young girl named Kwan-Sook, who was a prostitute/thief she felt a rush of power flow throuhg her, she knew she was stronger than a regular human and fought them off, but not saving Kwan-Sook.
The following night, she followed a brit named Gresham to a warehouse where he did business.  The man he did business with was unsatisfied with the product and killed Gresham.  Xiaoqin dropped from the rafters and fought the creatures, not knowing what they were.  An irish man from the tavern saved her by helping her slay the demons.  He told her that his name was Sean Connelly, her watcher.  She had no idea what he was taking about.  He began to talk of a Divine Executioner, a girl who fought monsters and when she died her power would go to another girl.  He told her that she was that girl.
While they walked and talked about her new status, they were attacked by a vampire group called the Blue Dragons under the command of a master called Fang-Chou.  During the battle, Xiaoqin was shot and lost feeling in everythig from the waist down.  She was rushed back to the monestary where she learned to walk again.
She and Connelly tracked down Fang-Chou underground near the Whangpu River.  She slayed him and they returned to Shanghai and took out the remaining Blue Dragons in a few nights.  By the end of all this, Xiaoqin accepted her fate and went with her watcher to California.  She died of an unknown cause around 1860.
