August was called in alternate reality Italy in the year 2003 at the age of 15. August was a slayer in waiting brought to the Council before being chosen.  She was a promising candidate and was taught alongside other slayers-in-waiting under the teachings of Faith.  She began training in 2001 and when Faith was slain outside L.A. she was called as the next slayer.  She fought the vampires under the command of Camazotz for six months before being thrown into a jail cell with Buffy Summers.  Having been trained incorrectly, she refused to let the world fall under vampire rule, she tried to kill Buffy so that another slayer would be called.  Not knowing that the passage power didn't lie within Buffy, she attacked her.  August wasn't trained long enough to match Buffy's power.  Buffy snapped August's neck with a powerful snap kick.
