INTRIGUING OF THE MALAYSIA PRIME MINISTER

Dear sir, Around this time of the year, after Halloween and Thanksgiving, the cooked up stories of witches and ghosts must be very intriguing. So intriguing in fact that Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad has embarked on a witch hunt cum smear campaign and now he has decided that holding the general elections in the monsoon season is a mistake.

Postponement of the east coast elections is yet another confirmation that support for the BN is fading. Although we see the rural east coast as picturesque and tranquil, youth in these parts are not idiots, as the BN has hoped they would be, so much the easier to be led by their noses as so many "kerbau". So long as these "kerbau" could be exploited for the common good of the majority, then, to hell with whatever they want, albeit, a little less than the urban gorillas in PJ, (used to be Petaling Jaya, and now PJ2, Putra Jaya; can't we have anything original?) Ipoh, Penang, Johor Bahru, and Malacca.

The Mahathir Witch Hunt for foreigners who are allegedly helping the Opposition by contributing to opposition coffers (can't you think of something original?) like Clinton and the Chinese businessmen, or Rajiv Gandhi and Bofors, or Nakasone and Lockheed. If you are looking for a polka dot elephant, maybe, you should try looking at the big top? Who do you think we are? Clowns? In so doing, you are just trying to undermine the credibility of the opposition, first, by saying that it does not have a mandate, and next, by inventing all sorts of stories, obviously unsubstantiated by facts. Why don't you go and kick the bucket and save everyone the trouble?

Best regards.
