About Mini

I was born MaryBeth G, in Westminster, MD. But you probably don't care when or where I was born, here's the mini:

LATEST NEWS:
Last quarter went to crap in terms of grades. My Dad is moving within 3 hours of me in 2 weeks, instead of 17 hours. That makes me happy.

I am VERY excited for the Holiday Season.

What do you expect to be doing ten years from today?
I expect to be working for any small church in either the Mid-West or England. Heh... England.

How many close friends do you have?
Quite a few. You can see some of them in my Friends collection.

Do you like school?
Yes, it's great. Easy as heck. Lots of cool people there. I learn some, too.

Which course did you like best/least? Why? Biology sucks. Bad.
All of my history and world classes have been great so far. Right now I'm taking Ancient and Medieval Mediterannean Civilizations. Class Rules.
And, Latin is a big fave for me.

Why do you want to be a minister?
Because I love theology, and theosophy. I'm a people person, and I love helping others. I know I have to improve my speech skills, but I think I have the creativity and I hope I have the strength to go into the ministry field. And, there aren't many philosophy jobs. I hope to write a book as well, maybe four.

Tell me about your childhood.

Who do you like best, you mom or dad?
NC.

What was your greatest accomplishment?
All of them.

What was your greatest failure?
Being self-centered. Always.

What kind of people do you dislike?
People who are dishonest... who try to be like other people. Ironically, I'm a conformist...

Do you like to be praised?
I strive for praise from those who rarely give it to me and hate it when people give it too me more than I deserve. Ach. I detest that.

What do you do on weekends?
Not enough. I'm becoming a lot more active in church, so I usually spend most of my Sunday there (8:30-1:30, 6:30-8:30 every Sunday). I go over to friends' houses, or play guitar, or spend the whole time on the computer if I'm feeling lazy. Which is most of the time. I also enjoy reading and writing, and I bike a lot. I bike to Jessica's every day in the morning and afternoons before and after school. (8 mi total).

What's you favorite color?
Cerulean.

Just finished C.S. Lewis' Surprised by Joy, and right now I'm reading Farenheit 451, next on my list is The Running Man.

5 AM.

What is your all-time favorite movie?
Pleasantville.

What sports do you participate in?
I play soccer and swim like nutz.

What do you usually drink?
Diet Coke.

What makes you angry?
I'm not telling you. No way.

What should people know about you?

I love making fun of myself, so you'll find me poking fun at my religion, beliefs, looks, etc.
I'm so into music that it's pretty screwed up. I play guitar, piano, and clarinet. I sing all the time. Usually, if you are looking for me, you'll either find me at church, on my laptop, or singing/playing on my guitar. Always.
HOBBIES:
Singing, writing songs, composing, conducting, playing guitar.

I play/sing in two church bands. I play handbells with church, which I conduct occasionally. At the moment, I am co-composing an arrangement for bells based on the hymn "Be Thou My Vision."

I also like philosophy, debate, theology, theosophy, and reading. I am reading Contact currently. Among my latest reads: Surprised by Joy, C.S. Lewis; Farenheit 451, Ray Bradbury; Hatchet, Gary Paulsen; Ramona, age 8, Beverly Cleary; Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. (I like children's books, yes.)

I am easily found online, or otherwise I am at church or hibernating with my guitar.

Talk to me, I'll enjoy debating with you about Politics & religion. I aspire to go into the music ministry and then ministry. Perhaps even be a professor on philosophy.

So get your sources and your brain in gear and IM me, we'll talk a bit about theology and such.
