Lithirian walked through the halls of the Tower, adjusting her blue fringed shall. Almost a week ago, her three years as an Accepted had come to an end when she was raised to full sisterhood. As a novice, she had dreamed of the day she would become a sister and could join the Blue Ajah, and now that she was, it was difficult to believe.
At the age of 13, she had come to the Tower, and spent two years as a Novice working out her block. She was a wilder, and extremely strong in the Power, but unfortunately, she had been unable to channel in the viscinity of water. If there was a glass of water on a desk in the same room with her, she simply could not reach the One Power. The worst had been when it rained...
Her block had come from the way she discovered her ability to channel. She had grown up on the southern border of Arafel working on her family's farm. Her two brothers and three sisters had been playing in a creek near their land. It had been right after three weeks of rain, and the sun was finally shining. They had just been playing, but...
She had come running when she heard screams, and found them there, her little sisters and brothers. The Power had just surged into her from no where, and she managed to save one of her brothers from the raging current of water. The others had been swept out of her reach before she could help them.
That same year she had left for the Tower. Her block had not prevented her from excelling quickly past the other Novices. Two years later, she had broken through her block, and risen to Accepted. Three years after that, she had become Aes Sedai.
Her one remaining brother had written her letters congratulating her, and saying that he was coming to visit as soon as he could. She couldn't wait to see him, and to tell him in person after all these years...
Suddenly, Lithirian realized she didn't know where she was going.
