Quince al'Pillan, born to the minor noble house al'Pillan of Malkier, was raised to be a gentleman and lord. He was trained in the art of the sword, dagger, and bow as well as the finer things, including history and diplomacy.
At the age of twenty, Quince was discovered to be able to channel when a Red Aes Sedai and an Asha'man were visiting the royal palace in Chachin. Quince was immediately taken to Tar Valon, where he was enrolled as a Soldier. He quickly became friends with most of his fellow Soldiers, his hearty laughter and joyful attitude winning them over, even though he was older than most. Because he was older, most of the Soldiers looked up to him as a big brother. Those Dedicated that he became friends with looked to him for companionship.
Although he became a friend with many, there were a few who went out of their way to make Quince's life miserable. Those few were met with a darker side of Quince's personality; the one that meant business and was highly protective of friends and family. They were met with diplomacy at first, but if that didn't succeed, or if they tried to actually attack his friends, they were met by the nearest wall three feet up, whether by weaves or Quince's fist holding on to their collar. Quince wasn't a violent man, but could get that way if those he protected were in danger.
Quince was raised fairly quickly through the ranks of the Asha'man, only spending two years as a Soldier and another two as Dedicated. When raised to Asha'man, Quince chose the Blue Ajah. Two years later, Quince was sitting in a small garden thinking about his day when a lovely Accepted sat down beside him and began a conversation. Tatiana and Quince quickly became friends, although their love didn't bloom until later. By the time Tatiana was raised to Aes Sedai, they were deeply in love and decided to Bond.
Soon after that, Quince was surprisingly raised to M'hael. Tatiana was raised to Amyrlin very soon following Quince's raising (there might have been some influence on Quince's part).
At twenty seven years, two as Soldier, two as Dedicated, three as Asha'man, six months as M’hael, and close to six months as husband to the most beautiful person in the world, Quince was told one of the most shocking and happiest things in his life... he was to be a father.
Physical Description:
Quince is about six feet tall with broad shoulders. He has night-black hair and grey or silver eyes. Quince is muscular, although it is harder to tell in the black uniform he usually wears. He usually doesn't smile unless his wife is nearby.
