Serynna of House Ambrai had been born on the Ambrai estates in Cairhein to Lord Soradrid and Lady Gwylla as a second daughter, and an unwanted daughter.
Their first child, at the age of 5 and already a gem of beauty, was Adelle. When Lady Gwylla had found herself with child again, her only comfort in it was her hopes she bore a son, so straight from her birth Serynna was a dissapointment to her parents. And compared to Adelle, as she inevidably was, she continued to be such. Adelle was the House Ambrai's last hope for ever sitting on the Sun Throne, and she was raised to be Queen, if not openly. Serynna was taught in politics and Daes'Daemar of course, but not as much.
From a young age, in rebellion to Adelle's beauty and intelligence, Serynna was a tomboy. She wore her hair plainly and short. Due to the nelegence of her parents, she put her knowlege of Daes'Daemar to work making mischief.
She continued to make unheaval all over the estates, until Lady Gwylla, fed up with her unwanted 13-year old daughter, sent Serynna off to Cairhein City to stay with her great-aunt, Lady Bresha Teradred. Lady Bresha had been a beauty in her prime, but when Serynna arrived to her care, she was a steely old woman with a pile of grey hair to match her manner. She quickly put an end to Serynna's pranks and set about to make a proper Lady out of her. She taught her more of the Great Game than even Adelle knew and taught her how to use her own boyish beauty and large innocent looking brown eyes to her advantage.
Finally, when she was 18, introduced her to Iriana Sedai of the Blue Ajah who was testing for girls who could learn to channel. Serynna passed the test, and Lady Bresha sent her off imeadetly with love.
Physical Desc: Serynna is short and slight, with an almost boyish look to her. She is beautiful in her own way. Her large brown eyes give her the appearence of innocence and most take her for being younger because of them. Her dark brown hair is worn loose on her shoulders.
