Bio: Tatiana was born on a farm in Saldaea, the younger of identical twins. Her father, Hasgil Ophelius, is one of the wealthiest men in the Pattern, as he is both a farmer and a respected merchant. Hence, the twins grew up wanting nothing. At the age of three, their mother died and left them in the caring hands of their father and all those of the manor. At the age of eight, they were taken on a trip out of Saldaea where disaster struck, leaving the elder of the twins vanished and presumed dead.
Stricken by grief, their father returned home with Tanya and shut himself up in their manor house. He received no guests and neglected his young daughter, who was also very saddened by what had happened. It was nearly a year later when Hasgil was finally roused enough from his depression to notice that he still had one daughter who needed him. He began to dote on his little girl, whom he called his "princess", giving her everything she asked for. Tatiana was happy to have her father back, but still, deep inside, she was hoping that her sister would return home.
For five years, Hasgil spoiled his daughter, making her think that her every whim should be obeyed without question. When they took a trip to the capital city of Maradon, there was a Red Sister there. She was testing girls, looking to see if any had the spark. Tanya's father tried to edge around the crowd, keep the Red Sister from testing his daughter. What if she ended up to have the spark and she was taken away from him? What would he do? Unfortunately, his retreat caught the eye of the Aes Sedai and she walked through the crowd to stand before father and daughter. She looked down at Tatiana for a moment, then back up at Hasgil. After learning that Tatiana was thirteen years old, the Aes Sedai announced that she was going to test her.
Tatiana, knowing that her father wouldn't make her do anything she didn't want to, told her father that she was not going to be tested. The Aes Sedai, however, quickly disabused the young girl of that idea, taking her by the arm and pulling her away from her father.
Tanya learned that her name was Ainne Sedai and that she was searching for girls to go to the White Tower in Tar Valon. Tatiana decided that she didn't want to go, whether she could channel or not. Unfortunately for the spoiled little girl, it was discovered that, not only could she channel, she was quite strong in the One Power.
Soon after arriving in the White Tower, Tatiana's attitude underwent a dramatic change. No longer was she an impetuous, spoiled brat. She was a cheerful, bouncy child, making friends with everyone. She'd learned after the first day that she would get nowhere if she was going to be selfish and disagreeable, so she adapted her attitude to what she felt suited who she was turning out to be.
She was a Novice for five years and an Accepted for three. During her years as an Accepted, she met Quince al'Pillan. He had been sitting outside staring off into space. Being the gregarious person she was, she sat down in front of him and began a conversation. They quickly became good friends, although he was a full-ranked Asha'man and she was only an Accpeted. When Tanya was Raised, they decided to Bond, and then marry.
Quince's promotion to M'Hael was totally unexpected and surprising. Tatiana's promotion to Amyrlin only a year after her Raising was even more unexpected and surprising.
By chance encounter, Tanya spotted her twin sister in Tar Valon and they are now reunited at last. Sadly, Raven (as she now calls herself) has no memory of her twin sister or the time they spent together.
At twenty-two years old, Aes Sedai for one year, Amyrlin for four months, and married for six months, Tatiana broke the news to her husband that they were going to be having a baby...
That baby turned out to be babies. Twins. A boy and a girl, both with black hair and their father's silver-gray eyes. The labor was long and hard, lasting a day and a half. The two finally made an appearance on December 26 (for the purposes of birthdays, we'll say Taisham 5), only minutes apart. The little boy, James (Jamie), was first and his sister, Belle, shocked us all by appearing not five minutes later.
Now their life begins with two small babies to care for...
