Shunned for her gift, praised for what she one day may become, Yamyle left her family--her mother, her father, her seven siblings--to learn to control the One Power. The years between her arrival in the place of Aes Sedai and her departure from her homeland are vague; she herself remembers very little of the journey. Her eventual rise to the Red Ajah followed years of training, in which she excelled in Healing. It was a surprise when she chose Red, and decided to use her gifts in Spirit for Gentling rather than healing the sick. Her choice did not detract from her abilities as a Red; to date she is one of the most effective "hunters" of the Red Ajah.
