Raven Drakomyr
The Final Hour

Raven Drakomyr slumped against the wall in complete and utter exhaustion. And hell! it wasn't even her being the one to give birth to twins! Two bundles lay in her arms, laughter and cries alternating by intervals for the precious darlings weren't quite sure what to make of this new world they entered so indignantly. Strange new experiences awaited them!

Of course, the baby girl, nearly identical in features to her twin brother, was giving a fit loud enough to do Raven proud. Her lusty wails surpassed her mother's, and she made damn sure that everyone understood what she felt about being roasted from the cozy comfort of her previous home. And bloody ashes, they were all going to pay!

Meanwhile, the boy found it quite amusing… Raven already made up her mind not to allow Rash anywhere near this one, in fear of corruption.

Laying the infants in their cradle, their aunt (OOC: Man! That has a nice ring, hmm?) let them while she took care of her mother. "Shouldn't we let Quince in now, Ariel?" Tanya whispered tentatively.

Immediately, her twin shook her head, tresses of ebon jet swaying by the movement. "Only if you want him to catch you this way, sis." The comment was said with an underlying tone of amusement that more than served it's point.

"Ah, no matter. He passed out a while back." Their mingled laughter rang outside to the corridor where various people were seeing to the fainted M'Hael. Raven wasn't ever going to let him forget that, she vowed with an inward smirk.

Wasting no movements, Raven saw to the task of cleansing the blood and fluids from the Amyrlin. A bed of Air served to hold Tatiana while she stripped the bed and replaced new sheets. Because Tanya was too weary from the tedious ordeal, Raven could do no more than bathe her sister with delicate weaves of Water, before changing her sweaty gown to fresh attire. When finally the Taskmaster concluded that their was no more to be done, the newborn twins were placed back in their mother's arm for feeding.

"There now," she murmured soothingly, "That wasn't so bad, was it, Tanya?"

"It was the worse experience I have ever had!" The sweet little woman announced stubbornly. Then a tender smile graced her lips as she glanced down at her babes. "But I'm glad I have these to show for it."

Raven chuckled lazily. She inhaled a deep breath, and allowed the adrenaline to leave her body in a relaxed state once more, when she slowly exhaled. Light, but it felt as if fatigue was chewing and gnawing at her weary limbs in glee, so tired was she. The labor had lasted a good day and a half; far too long in her opinion.

But now the M'Hael could enter. Leaving the new mother upon the bed, Raven granted the door weave the will to disperse and stepped into the hall. The bright lights forced her to blink for a moment while her eyes adjusted to the sudden change.

And then Raven almost wished she stayed inside.

The chaos reigning in the Tower of Wyrd was enough to drive her insane as the Asha'man name foresaw. Soldier Jerad was nowhere to be found; Rash leaned against the wall in a scandalous state of undress - to put it delicately; and nearly all Aes Sedai were gathered outside in the narrow corridor, many arguing amongst themselves over the fallen body of the M'Hael. Few saw her exit.

This was the last straw to a horribly long day!

"Enough!" Her command asserted itself in the Taskmaster's authoritative nature when she demanded silence. Her infamous temper boiled over with her roar. Without breaking her stride, Raven began issuing out orders while she made her way to Quince. "Rash, go get some clothes on, bloody ashes, or else the hair on your head won't be the one I'll be pulling! Someone go find and fetch Soldier Jerad! Tell him to check up on the babes. The rest of you, leave! The Amyrlin is fine and the mother of a baby boy and girl. There will be a public announcement when the Couple deems time."

A subtle flow of Spirit arose her brother-in-law. Her cocky half-smile was the sight that first met him. "Alright, Fainting Beauty, you can see your wife now. Tire her out, and I'll cut off your balls myself."

Weariness was all too much for Raven. Now that all was well, all she wanted was a fresh bath and a night of complete and uninterrupted sleep. And woe to anybody who tried to stop her, she promised herself as she stalked to her chambers.
