A subtle flow of Spirit arose her brother-in-law. Her cocky half-smile was the sight that first met him. "Alright, Fainting Beauty, you can see your wife now. Tire her out, and I'll cut off your balls myself."
"Good morning to you too, Raven. What time is it?"
"Late afternoon, wonderboy."
"I had the most wonderful dream..."
"Inside with your children."
"Children...?" Quince looked confused for a second, then vividly recalled his "dream." Quince's eyes opened wide as he picked himself up, wincing as a lance of fire shot up his shoulder. He hadn't felt any bones grind, so he assumed it wasn't completely broken.
Quince stepped in the doorway, outlined by the glowing orange rays of the sun, and stood, waiting for his eyes to adjust. When they did, he beheld his wife, worse-for-wear, with two small bundles in her arms. "Hun...?" Quince said quietly.
"Come see, love," his wife whispered. Quince walked over to her bedside and looked down into the sleeping faces of his babes. Tanya handed one sleeping bundle to her husband and Quince looked down into the blanket. The baby was frowning, almost ready to cry. His tiny little arms curled up around him, eyes closed, tiny red little body. His mother's nose. "Your son."
"Shh," he said calming the little babe in his arms"...They're so...tiny...and fragile..." Quince was simply amazed that he could be a part of this miracle.
"They didn't seem so tiny coming out..."
"What do we name them?"
