Guardians of the Water Capital: Latios and Latias
Later that night, Zanna and Rion head for the garden. Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyaasu try to jump across the tops of the buildings, but Musashi's Soonansu causes them to fall to the ground. When the two Rockets reach the boat house, they knock out Bongore, and make their way into the garden. Latios and Latias are awakened. Latios tries to attack the Rockets, but the attacks don't work. The two Pokémon try to camouflague themselves and attack while hidden, but the Rockets have "special vision" shades, which can find the Pokémon. Zanna commands her Eefui to use Swift on Latios, quickly exposing him from hiding. Rion tells her Pokémon to use Night Shade on Latias. The attack works, but Latios dashes infront of Latias. Latios quickly goes down, as Zanna catches him in a net.
The two Rockets try to capture Latias, but Latios is still a problem, even while it's caught in a net. Zanna tries to capture Latias in a net, but Latias escapes into the pool. Rion discovers the Teardrop of the Heart, and quickly pulls it out of its holder. She then takes pictures of the legend written on the tiles, with her laptop. She uses the laptop to rearrange the pictures and decode the legend. Latias rushes off to find someone she knows who will help.
Zanna and Rion head for the machine in the temple, carrying Latios. They begin the phase to activate the machine. They place Latios on a pedistal, as three rings surround him. They place the Teardrop of the Heart into its placement holder, and then control the machines effects.
Latias races to the Pokémon Center, finding that a window was left open. Pikachu noices someone is there, as Satoshi wakes up. He discovers it to be Latias. Back at the temple, the two Rockets secure the two human intruders, Kanon and Bongore. Latios comes to, realizing that he is trapped. Kanon tells Latios to "show the area" to Latias, since she figures she'd be with Satoshi.
Kasumi and Takeshi wake up, and Satoshi explains their situation, and about Latios and Latias. The image from Latios is soon seen by all. Rion controls the machine by using Latios' power. She uses the machine to revive the ancient Pokémon's fossils. She commands them to find Latias. The connection was broken, and Satoshi decides that it's best to save Latios.
Rion used the machine to seal of anyone from coming in on their operation. Every entrance to anywhere was blocked off by cages, and other blockades. Musashi, Kojirou, and Nyaasu were trapped in an alleyway. Satoshi discovers that if they don't hurry, they could be trapped. Satoshi and Pikachuu escape with Latias, telling Kasumi and Takeshi that they will have to find a way through the maze. Satoshi searched around, finding no other way than to use a boat. While going through a canal, they are attacked by a Putera.
