1. Place in italics (this phrase is in italics) or
underline them (this phrase is underlined).
a. Use italics whenever you can, such as when using a word processor.

2. Capitalize the first word.
3. Capitalize the last word.
4. Capitalize all other important words.

d. Adjectives (except for a, an, and the).

f. Interjections
5. Do not capitalize the articles (a, an, and the).
6. Do not capitalize most conjunctions (like and, but and or).
7. Do not capitalize short prepositions.
