SRT-4's engine is a turbocharged and intercooled 2.4-liter
DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder that produces an impressive
230-horsepower and 250 lb. ft. of torque. Producing
that kind of power from a 2.4-liter engine is one thing,
but few could make it work day-in and day-out like SRT-4.

SRT-4 features an NVG T-850 heavy-duty five-speed manual
transmission as standard equipment. It is controlled
by a shifter with a large satin-silver knob for quick,
positive gear changes. The heavy-duty clutch helps route
torque to equal-length half-shafts driving the front
wheels.
SRT-4 sticks on the streets because it's been equipped
with a fully independent front and rear suspension with
gas-charged Tokico struts and stabilizer bars that contribute
to its responsive handling.
Car and Driver (5/03) said SRT-4 has, "Power out
the wazoo, bites into corners like a pit bull, the brakes
never give up."
