Final Fantasy VIII System: Playstation Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10 Final Fantasy VIII is a great game but personally it lacks due to certain things. Now I played the game for 4 hours and I was already lost. They throw all these instructions at you with the hope that you can learn them but in reality all they do is confuse you. First off, you should get a graduation certificate just for learning the junction system. I was given 5 different set of instructions within an hour on all the steps an I barely know two of them. According to them I should have all five mastered by now. They are out of their mind. The battles are still simple but if you want a killer blow you have to time the R1 button just right which can get annoying. The battles against the random enemies could have also been shortened. On the positive side, the story is fantastic. Your a trainee going through different stages of training to earn your rank in SeeD. After receiving your rank you get monthly paychecks, new missions to master, ect. The full-motion videos are absolutely tremendous. The graphics are top notch and the characters actually look like real people. You'll definately be impressed. Overall, I would suggest buying it but that's entirely up to you. I say go for it!
