Star Ocean: The Second Story System: Playstation Rating: 8 1/2 out of 10 Star Ocean is an RPG like you've never seen before. You have a choice of choosing to play with the guy(Claude) or the girl(Rena). The story perspectives change with the character you play with. Then there are the other characters. Unlike in other RPGs, not all of the characters will be available for you. Sometimes when you choose to recruit one character you lose the opprotunity to recruit another. The battle system is quite different as well. Instead of giving a command and waiting for your turn, you have to battle continueously until the battle ends. This makes the battles a bit more difficult. One thing you will need for this game is patients. There is a lot of story to be told and sometimes you'll sit through 30 minutes of story, fight for 5 minutes and then listen to 20 more minutes of story. Personally I would recommend this game for the RPG fans out there but I would tell the non-fans to stay away from it.
