The entire basis of the idea of Imperio were three simple words: Veni Vidi Vici. These three words, when read by Norbert Reichart(a great fan of ancient Rome) caused him to think up of the group and all it's possibilities. So, right away, he began to work on the project, and, as soon as the lyrics were written and the music was composed, it was time to seek out the two singers who would bring everything together.
Norbert sought out a female singer first. Upon seeing Manuela Ferisovic, he told her about the songs he had, and that he wanted her to sing, she turned around and walked away, thinking it was just some pick-up line! After some time of convincing, he got Manuela to look at the music, and, as soon as she started singing, he knew he had the perfect female voice for the group.
The two were drastically searching for a male singer, and finally, after months of searching, they discovered Paulo Martins on stage at a huge disco. With his rapping and dancing style, they immediately knew they had to get ahold of him. When they asked him, he agreed, and thus, the original group, Imperio, was formed.
With Paulo and Manuela, the group released the album, "Veni Vidi Vici" with a single of the same title. It was an instant success, and, from then on, Imperio's popularity only grew greater with each new single. But, as always happens, changes occur. Paulo made the decision to leave the group in order to be with his family more and continue with his studies. So, now, Imperio was back to one singer, and in search of a new male singer.
Not too long after Paulo's departure, a replacement was found; Lawrence Madia, also a very talented rapper and dancer. Together, Manuela and Lawrence released a new album,"Return to Paradise", and fans of Imperio immediately accepted the change. Imperio was once again complete.
