Hello Soldiers! Welcome to the Pre-holiday version of the Captain's log. Well, I'll do two things here...give a quick thought about this week's Nightmare..and then my predictions for Slay Ride....seeing that your Capt. is taking leave next week for the holidays.
Got us a couple new boys and girls here now in NcW....Eden August made a good showing against Wussy Boy, and Ravyn did give it her all, but she just didn't have what it took to beat the Women's Champ or Dark Echo. Welcome to Milan as well.
Could it be too, that the last NAW North American Champion Colin "Big Dawg" Steele will be joining NcW soon? Apparently that might be the case since he came out of the Chairman's office. Stranger things have happened.
Did I recognize UWA's own Dark Lotus coming in to eliminate both Coun, and Grayson Graymayne? If so, that is their brand of retaliation for what Jackson Payne did to them at UWA's event.
Now....for Slay Ride...my predictions*:
Aries vs. Rick "The Bully" Brett, (Hell in a Cell for the first match for the television title):
Well....in a normal match, I might just give it to The Bully...he's got the experience, and will cheat if needed. This though, is Hell in a Cell. Aries's strength and sheer size will probably be the telling factor.
Winner: Aries
Wussy Boy vs. Milan:
Well...won't call this one...I see Wussy Boy being due for a win here soon...but we don't know the skills of Milan.
Winner: Unknown.
Gabrielle vs. Eden August:
Rebellion vs. Newcomer.....Eden will have an advantage with her step brother Rick there, but that will be negated if the Rebellion shows unity and sends out some one. Here I think Gabrielle's winless streak is at an end.
Winner: Gabrielle
Krafty-K vs. Barry the Dinosaur:
Too easy...
Winner: Krafty-K
Television Title Tournament:
Instead of going match by match, I'll just say my thoughts on each competitor.
Masochist-The newest hardcore champ...he's got great potential, and now has shown he deserves gold.
Atom Bomb-Huge superstar and a former Television Champ already...but he has been slipping as of late.
Coun-Currently the UWA Extreme champ..and right now the only wrestler to be a two time champion.
Wizard Man-The kid has size and power, but will his inexperience tell?
Black Knight-Been on a winning streak..but if he faces his uncle, will he lose again?
Trinity-The Women's Champ, and now newest UWA superstar...the only woman in this tournament, but a wrestler with the skills to pull it off.
Lance Knight-Former North American Champ, can his size and strength give him the stepping stone to winning that title back?
Low Blow-Aggression and a will to win....but is his temper a detriment?
Winner: Lance Knight
Women's Championship-Trinity vs. Dark Echo:
This will be a show of skill and speed, rather than brute force, in the end though, I'll have to give the advantage to the champ.
Winner: Trinity
Hardcore Championship-Masochist vs. Low Blow:
The Challenger is hungry, but the champ has beaten one of the best in the business today.
Winner: Low Blow
Cruizerweight Championship-K.C. Tanks vs. Wyked Puppet:
Wyked is the hungry rookie, but K.C. has been one of the longest reigning champs here in NcW.
Winner: Wyked Puppet
North American Tag Championship-Hellraisers vs. Payne & Punishment vs. Jihad
The champs have yet to be beaten for the titles, but Jihad has scored a fall over Demon and Grayson. Also, will the dissention in the ranks of Jackson Payne and Cpl. Punishment be what tears them apart?
Winner: Hellraisers
North American Championship-Jackson Payne vs. Grayson Graymayne:
Jackson Payne will be tired from the match earlier...the Dark Prince is going to be fresh....I see an upset.
Winner: Grayson Graymayne
20 man Battle Royal
Well....with the calibre of stars in this match, it's hard to tell....no one can ever know what will be the factor. Strength means nothing, allegiences mean nothing.
Winner: Locutis
