and
Guidelines
These are only a few rules and some guidelines for creating a character and for playing the game.
Character
Rules
NO OMNIPOTENT CHARACTERS! We don't need characters who can flatten Tokyo in 5 seconds without the use of explosives. (Not that we want any who can flatten Tokyo with explosive. ^_^)
No immediate family members of the anime characters, ie sibling, parent, child. Cousins are okay, and maybe aunt or uncle.
guidelines
Don't creat more characters than you can handle. If you are new to this style of RPG, then only create one character. If you later feel that you want to bring in another, then do so. There really isn't a limit to the number of characters you create, but there's no sense in creating so many and then not being able to deal with them all. You can create one or two main characters and then have a few minor characters that appear every once in a while.
If you create more than one character, try to make them different. You don't want them to be too much alike. You might also want them to be involved in different groups or have different friends.
RPG
rules
A minimum of three (3) posts are required each month. Group posts count as one post for each person who wrote the post. This is not as hard as one thinks and there is usually a lot that one can write about.
No killing of any established anime characters. I don't care if you don't like Shampoo or you think Kunou is a jerk. You are not allowed to kill them off! And there is to be no redoing established plotlines. It would take away from the story if Akane and Ranma got married, or Shampoo and Mousse started dating. ^_^
Characters from other anime shows are allowed, but they must be from shows set in modern day Japan. No futuristic shows like Gundam, or EVA, or Macross. No shows from the past like Rurouni Kenshin. No shows set in another dimention like Fushigi Yuugi, Magic Knights Rayearth, or Escaflowne.
NO HENTAI! This game is open to all ages. Some are offended by ecchi material. So please, no sexual content.
guidelines
If you use another player's character(s), you should send the post to them first for approval. That way, they can make sure their character(s) is not being written incorrectly. This will save the group many headaches with posts saying "My character would never say that!" or "My character doesn't act that way!"
If you are sent a post for approval, please do just that. Keep changes minimal. Only change dialogue and actions of your character, and if needed, the reaction to said actions. Do not add a page and a half of what you would like to have happen next. Save that for another post.
Group posts are encouraged. You don't have to if you don't want, but it's fun to do once in a while. If two or three of you decide to write a post together, be sure to give each other enough time to make changes or add on.
If you wish to leave the group at any time, do not kill your character off! It's a very dark event for a game that's fairly light. If you do leave, write a post that the character is moving away. It's sad to see a character leave, but it's worse when the character dies. If you write such a post, it will be disregarded and the character will be said to have moved away.
These are just for common use, so that people won't get too confused. ^_^
"<" and ">" are used to indicate that a person is speaking in a foreign language, ie any besides RPG Japanese.
(example "< How are you >," she asked in Chinese. "< I am well >," he answered in English.)
"::" are used for thoughts. They are used at the beginning and end of the thought.
(example ::I should get some ramen for lunch::, he though.
">" and "<" are used for action sounds.
(example >BAM< >piku,piku<)
Continue this way if you still wish to join us.
