In
a fashion similar to the Stargazers, the Gurahl are believed to have been a race
of bear-shifters that devoted much of their time to meditation. Citing
themselves as healers and artists, the Gurahl long filled the role of cleansing
the land and other Changing Breeds from the taint of the Wyrm-minions they
battled against. However, the Gurahl were one of the first Changing Breeds to
fall during the War of Rage - the Elders and Ancestors of the Garou Nation
remember the quests against these sedentary but powerful shifters in songs and
half-forgotten memories. Despite their respectable exterior, the Gurahl had been
concealing a dark secret - their life-giving powers masked necromantic research.
To this day, the Garou mourn that they could not change the rotten path to
self-destruction that the Gurahl chose to walk.
