Greencastle Fort

 

 

Joined onto the north side of the castle ruins is this fort. Built in 1812 and was used in the defence of Lough Foyle until the end of the 19C.

 

 

This archway leads into the gardens overlooking the sea

Accommodation is available in the forts main ajoining building , all En-Suite, open all year. A La Carte restaurant, seafood being a speciality, fully licensed bar with spectacular seaviews .
