Nick Carter's Bio

Even as a baby, Nick was already performing: He used to dance in his diapers!  He gave his first official performance in the performance in the fourth grade, when he acted in Phantom of the Opera.  Later, he won talent contests, sang at Tampa Bay Buccaneers football games, and starred in TV commercials for the Florida Lottery.

He loved baby-sitting for his four younger siblings when he was growing up. "It was always a lot of fun," Nick says, "because I really love my brothers and sisters."

Nick is a licensed scuba diver who loves to take his boat out and explore the Florida Keys all by himself. "It's something I need to do just to get away from it all," he explains.

Nick is the practical joker of the group.  At one concert, Nick hid a smelly sock stuffed with stinky odds and ends behind the drum set, just to gas his buddies out.

He has not let the success of the Backstreet Boys go to his head.  " When I go home," he explains, "if I have to take the garbage out, I'm gonna take it out.!

Nick would love to produce and direct a movie someday. Meanwhile, he's working on his solo project due out on the 29th of October 2002. And he doesn't plan on leaving the Backstreet Boys any time soon!
