Global has been rerunning The Guardian nightly at midnight lately. This show was mostly ignored for the three years it was on the air. Which is a shame, because The Guardian was the kind of quality drama that should have gotten more play in the press, more Emmy nominations, and frankly, more faith than CBS placed in it this season.

The show, over time, began to focus less on the weekly clients of Nick’s and began to focus more on his character. It became a story of redemption. Nick was an anti-hero. He was a corporate attorney in his Father’s law firm who had been convicted of illegal drug use. He was sentenced to a zillion hours of community service in the Children’s Legal Aid office. He didn’t like being there and let everyone know it. He was rude and abrupt. He rounded up when counting his hours at the clinic. He was ethically challenged; often using knowledge he gained in the Legal Aid office, to benefit his corporate law firm. Sometimes, Nick was the scoundrel you couldn’t help but love, because you began to see that deep down he started to care about those children, and it scared him.

If you are in Vegas you need to get your ass down to Cinevegas. Land of the Dead will be playing almost one whole week earlier then the actual theatrical release. Every one of you readers who lives in vegas BEST get your asses down their!  In 2004 Dennis Hopper began serving as the Chairman of the Creative Advisory Board, which should explain why Land of the Dead is showing, even if we do all think it has its own merits. I was annoyed that George Romero's name did not appear ANYWHERE on the mainpage (shakes fist). But regardless Land of the Dead will be closing the show!

My 5 and 3- year old sons are completely oblivious to it, but my daughter is 11 and she's cool with it. She's grown up around famous people{ Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts are close family friends}. "The Ring Two" has a B-movie premise with grade-A production values, making it tenser, moodier, scarier, and all-around better than you'd expect from a sequel - especially the sequel to a horror movie, one that didn't exactly get universally ringing endorsements the first time around (especially not from this typist).

The horror side has the eerie curse of the videotape and the human side was the strength of the mother/son relationship. I thought it was very good, which was a major reason I was interested in doing the sequel."

With last week's news that ABC will not go forward with Pittsburgh native David Hollander's proposed Pittsburgh-set follow-up to "The Guardian," the writer/executive producer said he's exploring what he wants to do next.

"I want to take a little bit of time to try to figure out what I want to do, whether that's more TV or film or take a break," Hollander said.
