After stumbling into yet another compromising situation, Nick is back at the police station. Much to his dismay, he reluctantly
agrees to give a statement regarding the fight at the strip club involving his probation officer that ended in gunfire. As
Burton continues his pursuit of a Federal Judgeship, he feels it is time to hand over some of his major clients to Nick, in
spite of Nick's on-going troubles. The first client, Wade Meyers, presents a challenge that Nick feels he is ready for, only
to learn that things are not always as they seem. Meanwhile, Nick tags along as legal protection for Lulu and her fianc? Brian
as they inspect the first house they about to purchase together. When suddenly they hear screams coming from the bathroom.
The screams are those of a homeless, teenager, Jeanette, who is about to give birth and has been hiding out in the house with
her boyfriend, Denny. After the baby is delivered, social services immediately places the baby into foster care. However,
Denny and Jeanette want to keep their young family together so Nick reluctantly decides to represent the interests of Denny
while Lulu takes on Jeanette's case.
