Adolf Hitler
Hitler was a soldier who had fought during
the WW I and was decorated twice for his bravery. Later, he became a corporal.
Hitler and his friends formed the National Socialist German Workers' Party (the Nazi Party). Soon, it became the largest party in the government. Hitler became the head of government in Germany. He changed the laws in his country and so only the Nazi was allowed to exist. Hitler attempted to kill everyone who was against him. He even had a secret police force called Gestapo to arrest anyone who was suspected of opposing or speaking against Hitler. Suspects had no chances of defending themselves whatsoever before they were given the sentence of prison or hanging.
Hitler tried to persuade the Germans to support him. He made great use of the propaganda. He even rewrote the history textbook to show the unfairness of the treaty that Germany had been forced to sign at the end of the WWI. He was also a skilful public speaker who was able to convince people easily through his speeches.
Hitler did a lot of things for Germany as a country within itself. He created jobs to solve the problem of unemployment in Germany. Soon, Hitler took steps to restore the military power of Germany, despite the peace treaty that they had signed at the end of WWI.
The perfect Germany in Hitler's sight was rich, strong and powerful, but Germany at his time was overcrowded and poor. He decided to take more land, and to unite all German-speaking people in Europe. There were many German-speaking people like the Austrians.
He felt that the countries with a lot of German-speaking people should be combined with Germany to form the Gerater Germany. Thus, Hitler began his conquest for more land and raw materials.
Mussolini
Mussolini was a ruler in Italy. His party,
however, was called the Fascist Party. It was also the only party
that was allowed in the country. He had a police force, like Hitler, to
remove all who stood against him. He also controlled the propoganda. He
created jobs in Italy like Hitler did in Germany. he was almost an 'Italian
Hitler.'
