John Walter Northup was born in Ellsworth, WI. November 5, 1861, the second son of Perry Gates Northup and Vi Kinne. He married Julia Helen Burnham (b. Johnston VT. 10-2-1863, d. Natural causes in Hayward, CA 2-1-1943. ) and they had at least four known children. They moved to Watsonville, CA in 1937.
