This boutique brewery was established in 1991 and was the first
in Marlborough. The Cork and Keg Pub was built in late 1994 and opened
by Bill and Marilyn Penfold and partner Peter Jackson in February 1995.
Great care has been take to create that century-old atmosphere in the Pub.
Hugh beams set in the low ceiling were salvaged from an old local bridge:
bricks around the fireplace came from the demolition of barry's hotel,
once a landmark in Blenheim.

We are a genuine micro brewery with a maximum capacity of 7000
litres per week. The brewery was custom made locally. our four beers and
dry cider are sold at local outlets, but the majority is sold over the
bar at our authentic English country Pub called 'The Cork and Keg'. We
are situated in Renwick township which is the heart of Marlboroughs famous
wine trail. Which is one reason that we've decide to be a winery as well
as brewery/cidery/ Pub and off sales. Tourists, winemakers and locals visit
all year and brewery tours are available most week days.
