    Great site

What a great site ands a great tribute to the most classic sitcom of aal time. I never imagined there were so many OC enthusiasts like myself. Thank you.

    Trivia-
    1) What was the serial number of Felix's television?
    2) What was the name of Leonard's frog? Also, what was the name of the frog they bought at the pet store?
    Thanks, again. Awesome site.

    Anthony,
As far as trivia questions go, you should go to the Message Board portion of the website. Tha'ts where we all end up trading them and testing each other.
Felix's TV serial number was something like 956102, but I don't know it exactly, and Leonard's frog was Max.
We need more people leaving questions.
Who was the guy Felix stopped carrying the TV, and why was he there? Whose apartment was he in?

Thanks for the info. You were close on the serial number,Im pretty sure it's 96133F. The guy was the brother of the guy who lived there and he was watching it for him (?)

From the first time I saw "The Odd Couple" I thought that is a cool, funny, and a great show. Now-a-days comedy has lost its purity, shows like "The Odd Couple" maintain the value of comedy. Thanks Jaclyn, as a great fan of the "The Odd Couple", I've always wanted the wonderful facts about the show, your site is admirable =)

We need more people coming to the message board to leave and answer trivia questions.
Here's a sample: 1) What is the most Oscar ever weighed?
2)What time was it on the new clock Felix bought?
3)What was the name of the product Deacon Jones endorsed in the commercial?
4)How much money did the IRS owe Oscar?

I thought, before I got on line, that I was the only "Odd Couple" in the world. Also, in response to the character who played on Seinfeld: Not only "Poppie" formally as "Ernie the Eskimo" but Jerry's father appeared twice. Once in the court room episode as Mr. Moss and once on the subway when Felix helped deliver puppies.

The first time I saw The Odd Couple, I was amazed. I was expecting a canned sitcom with no real creativity in it, and boy, was I dead wrong! This show was filled with unpredictable humor and some of the best acting that has ever come out of prime-time television! I'll admit that I've seen under ten episodes of it, but within those few episodes that I've seen, I laughed more times than I've laughed while watching all of the other sitcoms that I've seen combined! This show is the best thing that has happened to Comedy Central in years! SOUTH PARK, eat your black little heart out! Long live The Odd Couple! :-)

    WOW

I just found this page yesterday. It is truly incredible. Since, it is next to impossible to find the show anywhere on the air right now, I feel like I've found my fix.
When I was younger, and not allowed to stay up until 11:00 (when OC was on WPIX) I used to sit at the top of the stairs, without my parents' knowledge, and listen to them laugh hysterically. I knew I was missing something. Later, I was able to convince my father to buy me a radio that had a TV band on it. I would LISTEN to OC in bed and laugh...quietly. Ah, the good old days...
Anyway, I have always considered myself an OC trivia expert, until I read some of your stuff, Owen. Good God, how does your brain work?
Bravo, Bravisimo and have a peach of a morning...

    The Odd Couple

    Hello,

I figured after 22 years of watching The Odd Couple, I would get tired of it. Not the case.
It is still the best show ever made. I have
all episodes taped, but I still wish it was on
Nick At Nite. It seems that all the episodes
that I've seen on Nick at Nite were different
than when I saw The Odd Couple back in the
'70's and '80's. They cut out Roy Clark's
guitar solo at the end of that
episode, on Nick at Nite. Why?
There is obviously more than one version of
    every episode.
The Odd Couple rules and that's that!
Comedy since the late '80's has been horrible.
I noticed that the sitcom "Perfect Strangers" and "Family Matters" have used
    some Odd Couple themes.

Garo Yepremian who played Myrna's date,
was actually an Armenian from Cyprus.
On that episode, Oscar says he's from
    Albania. Kick!!!!!

One more tidbit about unseen footage--the flashback scene at the army barracks(Oscar wants to propose to Blanche)--Felix notices the ascot around the generals neck, "I've got sausage burns!!"--Cut, was a previous scene where Oscar tells Felix about the chef snapping, and choking the general with sausage links!! For years I thought "sausage burns" was some kind of rash or something that old people got!

    Greatest Sitcom Ever

I don't really care what they say about all the more recent shows such as Cheers or Seinfeld, the Odd Couple was just a much better show. The writing, the jokes, the physical humor, and the characters were just much more believable. Nevermind the fact, they were doing this years before all of these so-called greatest sitcoms were even a thought. Unfortunately, the Odd Couple didn't get as much backing financially or from the public. A lot of that had to do with the generation. Unfortunately, the ones that appreciated Oscar and Felix never really got a chance to have a say on whether the show stayed on the air...
