RESUME
Before October 1, 1999 I was the Chief
of Viral Hepatitis and AIDS scientific/practical control LAB,
lead scientist of
Odessa Mechnikov SRIVE. During
1976-1984 - collaborator in 3
scientific projects of Ukrainian
Ministry of Health,
devoted to the
epidemiology, prevention and
treatment of viral diseases, donor immunoglobulines production. In 1984 got the
MD degree. During 1986-1988 - Chief of the Viral DPT of scientific LAB in Kindia.(Rep. of Guinea). REP.
GUINEA/USSR medical joint project. The main aim was assistance to the Republic of Guinea in organizing of laboratory and diagnostic services. Simultaneously with the
laboratory work on USSR Embassy commission
was working with
the Guinean TV, radio network, PRESS, religious
and social organizations, UN and
WHO officials on the creating of
the AIDS prevention
and control system in Guinea. At
the same time took part in meetings with the representatives of the Western
African countries for
the AIDS prevention system in
the Region. (Kindia/Conakry, 1986,87,88). After returning to the Ukraine (1988)
took part in the organizing of the Viral Hepatitis and AIDS laboratory of
Odessa SRIVE according to the WHO recommendations. Since 1989 more then
500000 people have been tested by different diagnostic VH, HIV, STD testing
programs. I am a supervisor
of two scientific projects held in Odessa SRIVE since 1994. In 1992 I
got a proposition to work in collaboration with Odessa subsidiary of the
Ukrainian Center for AIDS prevention as
a consultant in diagnostic,
organizational and international problems of AIDS. I took part in three International Seminars held by the subsidiary and the Ukrainian Ministry of Health with the
WHO officials and the representatives of the social organizations of the USA. I participated
in three meetings
with the American physicians devoted to
the improving of
the AIDS prevention programs in the Ukraine (Kiiv,1992, Odessa,1992,
Boston, Harvard University, USA, 1993) as well. Since 1992 I have been
the member of the Odessa Regional
Committee for AIDS prevention and the Ukrainian expert council for scientific
research on AIDS, super numerate
consultant of Odessa TV, radio network and PRESS on AIDS problems, blood born
infections and STD. In 1993-96 I participated in two USAID programs in Ukraine
as consultant devoted to:
1. Reproductive
health; 2. PATH. Blood born infections.
Prevention. Since 1997 I am medical supervisor and consultant of ORGENICS program in Ukraine (rapid diagnostics).
I am responsible for all official affairs including legalization in Ukraine and
the professional support of the net in purchase orders delivery orders,
contracts interagency agreements, tack orders etc. Total professional
experience - more then 20 years.
After
October 1, 1999 I became the lead scientist of the department of Epidemiology
of new mentioned above institute.
In
my new position am responsible for all
activities in HIV/AIDS and related infections in the Southern part of Ukraine.
