But, after the book was printed, and

have read our book, Seventh-day Adventist/Vatican Ecumenical Involvement. The ecumenical contacts (by the General
Conference, with leaders on the highest levels in the other denominations,
begun in 1965 and deepened since 1980) would be badly damaged if a Great
Controversy was published—which had pictures on pages adjoining the text
which talked about the same subject! Too many people would read the book! Too
many would be convinced of its truths. Truths which are not fashionable
today. And what is its key truth? That the papacy,
working closely with Protestant leaders, are soon going to enact an extremely
harsh National Sunday Law. Vance Ferrell Commentary

Rest of the Story That Vance Ferrell has Chosen Not to Tell You In order to be a member of the World
Council of Churches and its subsidiary National Councils of Churches, a
church must agree not to evangelize folk who are already a member of any
church. Member churches must agree to
proselytize only the unchurched.
Handing out The Great Controversy at random would violate the SDA
church’s agreement with the World Council of Churches and its subsidiary
organizations, the National Council of Churches and the various more local
Ministerial Associations. SDA leaders vehemently deny membership in
the World Council of Churches and its subsidiary National Councils of
Churches around the world, but the Lord has shown me that there are a number
of countries of the world that no church can operate in unless it is a member
of the National Council of Churches of that country. The SDA church operates in all of those countries, so it
is a member of that country’s National Council of Churches, and the only way
any church is automatically a member of the World Council of Churches is by
being a member of one or more National Councils of Churches. This church knowingly and willfully lies
about these liaisons with This is one of the worst abominations for
which we are to be sighing and crying.
This is a direct thwarting of the three angel’s messages which is
supposed to be the prime mission and commission of the professing Seventh-day
Adventist church. Anyone who is aware
of this apostasy and still pays tithe to such an organization is guilty of
this abominable act by way of aiding and abetting such an apostate course. Corporate
Responsibility as Taught by the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy Here is the Biblical principle on which
Ellen White based her statements regarding corporate responsibility: Corporate responsibility -- "When I
say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die and thou givest him not warning,
nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life the
same wicked man shall die in his iniquity but his blood will I require at
thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness,
nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity but thou hast delivered
thy soul." Ezekiel 3:18-19. Corporate responsibility: "For evils
that we might have checked, we are just as responsible as if we were
guilty." Desire of Ages, p. 44. "We are just as responsible for evils
that we might have checked in others by exercise of parental or pastoral
authority as if the acts had been our own." Patriarchs and Prophets,
578.2 Corporate responsibility: Blood of the
Prophets— Luk 11:50 That the blood of all the
prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of
this generation; Luk 11:51 From the blood of Abel unto the
blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I
say unto you, It shall be required of this generation. Luk 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye
have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them
that were entering in ye hindered. Luke 11:50 Luke 11:49-51 Therefore this
generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that
has been shed since the beginning of the world, COUNTERPART: "The Lord commanded one
of his ancient servants, 'Pray not thou for this people [Jer. 7:16 and
11:14], neither lift up cry nor prayer for them neither make intercession to
me for I will not hear thee.' The prophet thus describes the sins which had
called forth this fearful denunciation: 'The prophets prophesy falsely, and
the priests bear rule by their means and my
people love to have it so and what will ye do in the end thereof?' 'From the least of them even unto the
greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness and from the prophet
even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also
the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when
there is no peace.' The apostles
declare that this state of things will find its COUNTERPART in the last days.
Many have a form of godliness, but in their daily life deny the power thereof. They have ceased to be convicted
of their sins or alarmed at their state. They say in their hearts, 'The church
is flourishing. Peace and spiritual prosperity are within her borders.' The
words of the prophet may well apply to these self-deceivers, 'They have
chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I
also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them."
E. G. White, Second Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, 11-07-82. Jer 23:14 I
have seen also in the prophets [leaders] of "And thou, Note: The bracketed portion in the above
statement is just the way it appears in the reference source. I have added no emphasis. COUNTERPART: "In the time of the
Saviour, the Jews had so covered over the precious jewels of truth with the
rubbish of tradition and fable, that it was impossible to distinguish the
true from the false. The Saviour came to clear away the rubbish of
superstition and long-cherished errors, and to set the jewels of God's word
in the framework of truth. What would the Saviour do if he should come to us
now as he did to the Jews? He would have to do a similar work in clearing
away the rubbish of tradition and ceremony. The Jews were greatly disturbed
when he did this work [As are SDAs today!]. They had lost sight of the
original truth of God, but Christ brought it again to view. It is our work to
free the precious truths of God from superstition and error." E.G.
White, Review and Herald, vol. 2, 308. That is the express mission and commission
of this ministry. There is a modern COUNTERPART to the ancient apostate
"chosen people" of God. That modern COUNTERPART is the people who
claim to be the modern "chosen people" of God, the remnant, if you
will, the professing Seventh-day Adventist church militant. "The plain straight testimony must
live in the church, or the curse of God will rest upon His people as surely
as it did upon ancient Now you know the real reason why SDA
leaders have distanced themselves from, and has disowned SDA reform groups
who have distributed The Great Controversy.
Dear brothers and sisters of the laity, I will tell you straight what
the Lord showed me concerning all this.
He showed me that all who support such abomination with their tithe
and offerings will be held corporately responsible for so doing. Amen.
A word to the wise is sufficient. I tell you friend in all surety that the
three angel’s messages are not being given by the professing SDA church in
the way they could and should be given.
They are being watered down more and more as the older pastors and Evangelists
retire. Some have advanced the notion that my
warning message is not from God because I do not generally prophesy future
events. They say that all prophets
made predictions of the future. That
is a gross misconception of the truth: "The prophet [messenger] was
thus essentially a spokesman for God, an interpreter of the divine
purposes for man.... The modern
concept that a prophet is essentially one who predicts the future obscures
the fact that some of the
greatest prophets of all time had little or nothing to say about future
events. A prophet [messenger] is simply a man bearing a message
from God." Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary, Vol. 5,
383. "The watchmen have not kept pace with the opening providence of God, and
the real heaven-sent message and messengers are scorned." The E. G.
